I like this thread!!
Props to you guys!!
Im 38 years young and find it inspirational that out of 9 pro cards handed out to Canadian women this year... 5 were to women over 35!!
(I do, however think it's shit that 9 womens procards were handed out this year to Canadian women and only 2 to Canadian men, mind you, I guess fitness, figures, bodybuilding and *cough cough* bikini (guess what I think of Bikini??) makes for alot more opportunities)
I'm 40. I'd say in my 20's I learned how to excercise, in my 30's I figured out how to eat properly. Now that I've put it all together and learned how to find a balance between training, work, family, etc, I feel great. Looking forward to getting stronger and stronger. I can honestly say that I'm in the best shape of my life and I'm just getting started......
Judging by the response maybe i set the barometer too high.I should of said the ̉VER 40 GURUS.Keep it coming guys.
All you guys about to hit 40 to 50 years old with some experiance behind you, prepare to grow and run with it.I blew it by walking away from the sport for a few years in my forties and now I am lifting hard and smart(I hope) to get back.
we're trying to get Leigh's Dad to compete again! he did in the 80's!
Can I be an under 25 guru? :ne
i'm older but my bodybuilding has been off and on for years. more off than on.
sometimes i wonder if its too late. guess i have to get that motivation going. when i get into it. i really like working with dumbbells exclusively.
but i'll get there.
Nothing wrong with just Dumbell work. The important part is you are working out.The hard part is making that first trip to the Gym.
