you have it all wrong. you should not be sending ANY messages. The girls should be the ones contacting you. If they are not:

1. get in better shape
2. take better thoughtful pictures that show your face, body, and lifestyle
3. write a better profile

Rarely send a first letter. There is a ton of girls on there for an ego boost only. They read, get flattered, then delete to have a little power trip over a man. Plus, some of those girls get hundreds of letters. So don't waste your time.

The same can be applied to a bar or anything out and about really. A woman who approaches you is automatically interested in wanting to know you a bit better. You approaching them generally doesn't workout so hot a lot of the times because they are on guard.
