Every choice carries a consequence.
For better or worse,
each choice is the unavoidable consequence of its predecessor.
There are not exceptions.
If you can accept that a bad choice carries the seed of its own punishment,
why not accept the fact that a good choice yields desirable fruit?

Don't listen to those who say, "It's not done that way."
Maybe it's not, but maybe you will.
Don't listen to those who say, "You're taking too big a chance."
Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine floor,
and it would surely be rubbed out by today.
Most importantly,
don't listen when the little voice of fear inside of you rears its ugly head and says,
"They're all smarter than you out there. They're more talented,
they're taller, blonder, prettier, luckier and have connections…"
I firmly believe that if you follow a path that interests you,
not to the exclusion of love, sensitivity, and cooperation with others,
but with the strength of conviction that you can move others by your own efforts,
and do not make success or failure the criteria by which you live,
the chances are you'll be a person worthy of your own respect.
AMEN!

I define self-control, in the beginning of life,
as the choice of achieving what I really want by
doing things I really don't want to do.
Once this becomes a habit,
discipline becomes the choice of achieving what I really want by
doing the very things I now want to do!
I really believe that a disciplined life becomes a joy
but only after we have worked hard to practice it.

Strength does not come from winning.
Your struggles develop your strengths.
When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender,
that is strength.

If you believe you can, you probably can.
If you believe you won't,
you most assuredly won't.
Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad.
Our limitations and success will be based, most often,
on your own expectations for ourselves.
What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon.

Bravery and adventure!
That's the ticket!
Don't sit and gather moss.
Get up, get out, do what you dream of doing,
and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work,
and you don't need to made that particular mistake again,
but at least you won't get old wondering what if you had.
