Part of being a champ is acting like a champ.
You have to learn how to win
and not run away when you lose.
5 days out of Canadian Bodybuilding Nationals
How did your team do?
You must be getting exciting to step on stage yourself :)

Dawn Alison
Now 47, this is Ms. Alison’s 20th year in competitive bodybuilding. She lives in Surrey, B.C., and will be competing in the grand masters category.
Day job: Personal trainer.
On rivalries: There are a lot, but I’m friends with quite a few competitors. There are a lot of girls that I competed with at nationals who now have their pro cards and I’m still here in the amateurs, but they’re in my corner, messaging me to ask how my prep is going. There’s cattiness, but I think that’s in any sport. People try to psych you out.
Post-competition indulgence: Fruit. I always miss fruit.

pt of the day
The glory of sport comes from dedication, determination, and desire.
Achieving success and personal glory has less to do with wins and losses
than it does with learning how to prepare yourself so that at the end of the day
you know there was nothing more you could have done to reach your ultimate goal.

A goal is NOT always meant to be reached...
it often serves simply as....

which i immensely enjoyed with my son Storm and my husband Brandon Best....
i'm happy with the package i presented at Nationals
