Xbox 360 or PS3?

I'm wanting to get one but not really sure which one to choose?

Do both consoles have completely different types of games? ie. does one console have more shooting games and a different more racing games?

If you want to watch blue ray movies than go with the ps3.

As for the games , IMO they are very similar.

PS3 is cheaper in the long run . Free network , Free online gaming and Free Blueray player.

I have both. Prefer ps3 and sports game look just as good as 360 esp. hooked up to a 50" plasma lol

Online gaming 360, everything else ps3. Im considering picking up a ps3 just for the show,

i've got both, havent touched my 360 since i bought the PS3.. Although i like 360's online better.

I vote for the PS3, only thing I like about the 360 is the controller is more comfortable

I use my PS3 for streaming content from my PC to my home theater via Tversity. It can be done with the 360 as well, but I like that the PS3 has the #2 top rated BluRay player availible and I can use my harmony remote to control it. I can also be upgraded to HDMI v1.4 for 3D tv. The fact that i can play games on it is just an added bonus for me. I'm not much of a gamer...

Im biased as I work for PS3 but I also own both systems. The PS3 is just way better value when you consider the free wireless router built in, and free online gaming. Not to mention the blue ray player, and the wii like controller that is coming out this fall.

PS3 wins in every category.

i own both and PS3 > 360

PS3 all the way... No bluray player in the 360 and paying for online gaming are two huge let downs.
