hmm...i honestly think certain things like this take time to heal....3 weeks isnt that bad..you could still work legs couldnt you? cardio ?? sometimes i look at a bit of time off as a blessing........

Agreed. You need to rest it or it will never fully heal. Just do whatever you can for now..even if its just cardio.

now would be the time to see a registered massage therapist... a good one

depending on the severity it will be about 4 weeks before you can start to push real weight again

i went through this in january

I find when i take a break my body fully recovers, any thing that was sore will heal itself, your tendon's will still strengthen. When you go back you'll get the weight back in a week of returning to the gym. Sometimes I take a week off and I swear my body muscles grow during that time.

You could go do sit ups and core-strength, rip it on the bike and build your cardio. I'd wait a week or two though personally.

Rest and protein. Let your body heal. It'll thank you in the long run.

Ya i would go see a RMT for a massage, it will help speed up your recovery, and prevent future dislocations.BTW GH would ge a good thing to do to help as well.

Agreed been down this road rest and heal

physio is a good option to restrengthen the area

rest to let the area heal. ice and naproxen to keep the inflamation down (which should allow it to heal faster)

after a few weeks of this I would look at a good physio..ART is a godsend if the physio knows what they are doing. It pretty much allowed me to avoid surgery after tearing my rotator cuff last fall.
