I see more of you here now.
I realize CBB is kinda "hardcore" for all of you. Some are ok with it, some are not.

What I would like to ask you, is what can I do to make the site also fit your needs?

I am always open to suggestions and feedback. I want CBB to adhere to the whole of the Canadian Bodybuilding community, whether male or female.

So if you want to say something, I would like to hear (read it).

If you are a guest and haven't registered but would like to, you can always register and message me or hit the Contact Us link at the bottom of the site and make your suggestions.

Thank you.
MP

I use to love our old nutrition section. Cooking ideas..etc.

A place where women can go to make dieting easier..maybe some good old nutrition posts..Describing diet splits and why.

I think we would all like more explicit pictures in the hot ass thread! JUST KIDDING!!!

seriously... Im new, and feel rather comfortable about positng on this site. I've found everyone to be very knowledgeable and friendly... I tried joining another BB site and was razed pretty hard because Im a fitness gal not a BB... I've gotten alot of info off this site already and hope to get more in the comming months as I kick up my training!

I think with more women joining, the womens section will grow and I might suggest in the future having a few sections under the "womens" heading... womens training journals and diets are obviously going to be different than the guys...

Oh and maybe point out that it is entirely normal for a woman to NOT be sitting at 5% bf between competitions!!! as a matter of fact, most US fitness girls compete at between 14-18% bf. It just gets intimidating being a female reading these BF percentages we never can hope to achieve! (I understand BB compete at lower BF%... Leigh was 5.4% for Natnls last year... between shows that jumps to about 18%)

Well,I will step out of bounds a little and say it here since Dryvrgrl mentioned it.You don't HAVE to look but...I think some(many?) women will be turned off by the hardcore stuff.I like lookin' at women but don't need a serious anatomy inspection below the belt to appreciate...

Meh, the hardcore stuff on the board doesn't really bother me.....boys will be boys...lol. I agree with having some subsections in the Women's section. Training journals, a section for fitness, figure, bikini, also maybe a private section that just the women could post in and read? Having a female mod might also be good.

Alright ladies. I made some changes. Gave you more forums, created a section for porn stuff so you can read the off topic now without fear (after we clean up a few more threads).

If you got friends in the bodybuilding or fitness community, invite them over. A lot of changes will happen here depending on how the community goes. If you got any more suggestions or feedback, I'd like to know.

Thanks.

Ok question for MP...all of us women members are respectable women in our community. Many of us have families too. I protect my teen age daughters from my on line presence.

I cringe when the local Men In Blue pull up at my door. (looking for a runaway that is a friend of my daughters or silly kid stuff)..but all the same.

My feelings I want to share and might be other womens too...I do not like it when i see the stove photos on CBB.

The men do not post their faces on CBB but we women often do. My photos, 69s and CC, Durvys have been around on here. I don't like talking UG unless I know I am safe...knowledge of is not illegal but saying I have taken this or that will set off some small town Blues. (No I'm not posting my license plates or home address when i share my flower garden photos)

We know the boards are being watched....

I don't want attention from our local men in blue. I am only a small part of this community..but do other women know they can exist on here separate from the stove photos and underground talk?

Well spoken FC.

Therein lies my problem.

There are a few things that can be done.

Anonymize the posts in the AAS sections. The problem with this is that I would think it very irresponsible for someone to take advice on hormones from a totally anonymous user. There are guys with proven track records over the years and a strong reputation. When these guys post, everyone listens and reads. So that option is non viable.
Get rid of the steroid pics. Problem is we won't know what's out there and if it's good or bunk. So that can't be done either imo. The steroid pics generate a lot of traffic for CBB which is why I am watermarking them now.
Never use your face. Might be possible but still it defeats the purpose of photo albums etc.. Use a sister site for the women and fitness people that don't want to be associated with AAS. This is possible. CBB will suffer a bit in loss of membership but that site may be able to grow nicely with a different group of people. And we could connect them with links so if one is too hardcore, jumps on the other and if one is too soft for a user, can come to CBB for the hardcore stuff. This one is the one I am thinking makes the most sense.

What do you all think?

I understand where you are coming from FC, but just because there is pics doesn't mean you are associated with it. If a person post pics of a stove, to me it's drawing attention to them not to other members of the board.

I will speak for myself and say it honestly doesn't bother me, people definately need the knowledge and advice.
I hardly ever ever go in there. Just bc my face is posted doesn't mean I am associated with it.

Just my 2cents.

I agree CC. This, to me, this first and foremost a bodybuilding site. I get alot of great info for diet, training, comp prep, supplements, etc from CBB. The AAS section is a small part if the site. Since I know f'all about it, I just don't often go there:) But, if you are unsure and just don't want the "association" with the AAS section, the sister site is a good option.

I understand all of your points MP. I like your option 4..a sister site. But why start one now when your trying so hard to get this one HUGE?
Does anyone know if there are any female sites still thriving?

CC and 69 very well said too. Not associating ourselves in those sections is the way to go. If those areas get alot of traffic when someone is searching for those photos, they are going to find it at any site they go to, not just CBB. Look at the famous BB.com for example. It's big and AAS is part of that site as well.

I remember when Tav found CBB....all of a sudden the kid assumed I knew this and that. I know notta I told him. Now he knows more than I do by reading everything he can on here.

:beat Nothing has to be done about it MP, it was just a thought.

I thought one could say anything as long as they worded it correctly... like " i heard form a friend" or " I read somewhere"

:)

I am not saying I don't go in there when I am looking for some sort of information. I wouldn't worry to much about the men in blue FC. They have Bigger fish to fry out there ;)
