I just watched it and loved.

Made me ask myself whether or not I am doing enough to take care of my planet.

The part that he pretty much explains that Katrina was a self inflicted malady is quite something.

And yes there are ways to be responsible with the environment, profitable and not live a boring life.

Personally I didn't sleep well for a week after seeing it. To think that man came soooo close to becoming US president. Think how things would have been different today! But as you said, it's individual responsibility, and I don't think I'm doing enough either

OK, I'm curious. Why do you not think man made climate change is occurring? I'm no scientist by any stretch of the imagination. But although there are a few voices of decent in the scientific community there does seem to be overwhelming consensus over the last few year. Not to be argumentative (I'm sincerely curious) but how is it that its not happening?
This year at the U.N, thousands of climate scientist from multiple countries released a statement saying that evidence in support of man made climate change was "unequivocal".

Individual organizations saying the exact same thing include almost all internationally recognized organization in the fields of meteorology, oceanography, geology and even physics and biology..

So to be honest I'm confused what evidence exists that disproves what all these reputable organizations are saying?

Because there is no bullshit.

Just plain simple facts.

If you don't believe that billions of people living in this planet, manufacturing and wasting and indiscriminately, exploring without replenishment destroying withouty necessarily buiilding back, all of that happening in about 100 years have no impact in a alive being that earth is that's fine.

I rest my case.

When I was a child once it was told me: the worst blind is teh one that don't want to see.

the worst blind is teh one that don't want to see.

"The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see."

I'll get back to you on this topic tonite, got's to workout and than off to work..:)

The teaching the the world is overpopulated is complete BS. The entire population of the world could fit in the boundaries of not Canada, not Ontario, but Toronto. That would be only giving them a couple sq. ft. but it is possible.

To put it into a real living perspective. The entire population of the world could fit in Mexico and would have half the population density of Toronto.

Climate change is what killed the dinosaurs. It happens with or without human involvement.

I like Al Gore, but if we all lived the way he did in a huge house sucking up lots of power the world would be super ****ed. Do as he says, not as he does.

David Suzuki is a douchebag too. He lives in a huge house that uses mounds of electricity.

Oh boy where to begin. Firstly everything i am about to write is actual scientific published data, If you like i can write all the refrences down but that would take up about 10 pages, so please don't make me :).... I'm only going to touch on a couple things, other wise it will take me all night and you'll be bored stiff...

GLACIERS: There are more than 670,000 glaciers world wide. About 67,000 have been inventoried, but only a few have been studied with any care. There is a mass balance data extending five years or more for only 79 glaciers in the entire world. So how would we know if they are all melting?

The data does show that one relatively small area called the Antarctic Pensula is melting and calveing icebergs, an area thats 2% of the continent. Thats what get reproted year after year. But overall the Antartic is melting, and has been for over 6,000 years.

RISEING SEA LEVELS: Are the oceans riseing? Yes they are, as they have been for the last 6'000 years, ever since the start of the Holocene.Sea levels have been riseing at the rate of 10 to 20 centimeters, or 4 to 8 in. every 100 years. But they are riseing faster now, Gore's computer models show they are!!

His high tech, comp. generated grafic's don't prove a damned thing! A prediction can't ever be proof, it hasn't happened yet!! And computer models have failed to accurately predict the last 10 or 15 years.

CLIMATE: Climate is so complicated that no one has been able to predict futer climate with any accuracy. Even though billions of $ are spent every year all around the world. Hell even the weather man won't predict more than 10 days ahead.

The biggest global event are the El Nino's. They happen every 4 years. Climate models can't predict them, not thier timeing, thier duration or thier intensity. Yet Gore's comp. generated models went how far into the future???

The threat of global warming is essensially nonexistant. Even if it were real it would probably result in a net benifit to most of the world.

In conclusion, lol, why do you think Gore and his ilk use, If, could and might endlessly?? Because they know they can't back up any of thier bullshit! "If" we continue down this road we "could" see, bla bla bla"

If a parasite junk scientist like Suzuki could actually back up some of his shit with references he would be on it like white on rise.

Rewatch the movie. And instead of being wowed and scared shitless by all the high tch grafics, listen to his words carefully and closely, before you know it you'll be questioning his agenda.
