Shouldice

So I have an umbilical hernia and send off a questionnaire to Shouldice for consideration. Though they are government run they do select the patients they are wiling to take. For those that do not know Shouldice is the best hernia hospital in N.A. if not the world. Anyway, The reason I sent in the questionnaire instead of going to the clinic is that I live a few hours drive from there.

I called today to find out when I could get booked in. They tell me I have been denied. I ask WHY? They say that I am too fat. I ask how they know I am fat as they have never seen me. They reply that I listed 215lbs. @ 5'8". So therefore I am too fat and must lose weight. They tell me I need to drop to 180 lbs. So I ask them if they are looking for muscle loss or fat loss. This questioned puzzled them. I told them that if it was only fat I was did not think I could drop that low and would need to lose some muscle as well. This confused them even further. Looks like I will need to go and see them after all. GRRRRRRR. Good thing I have some sick days banked.

I have an Umbilical Hernia also, I go in in 3 wks to have it all fixed up/plus my minor gyno removed as well, with no questions asked....thats bs what you had to go through man!!

My chiro wemt there last year.They want(prefer)a fairly low amount of abdominal fat.At 5'8 and 215,they think you're a fatty.My chiro was really pleased with the job,advanced techniques,minimal incisions.That's the place Jack Layton selected,the guy that doesn't want alternative medicine.
