Why is it that we are so few online in the Canadian Bodybuilding community. I figure the real numbers are between 10k-20k bodybuilders and fitness fanatics are frequenting Canadian bodybuilding forums.
Though CBB feels like the bb.com of Canada, it's so small compared to it. We are 10 times smaller as a country yet 100 times smaller as forums go.
I even approached people with businesses to post up for FREE on www.fitnessclassifieds.ca and they don't do it. Why? Who knows. It seems everyone is so wary of everything here in Canada and they run in their cliques and don't want to open to others. I'm offering to give them exposure for FREE and still, they don't bite. GRRRRR!!!!
Sorry just ranting. I want to reach everyone but it seems everyone doesn't want to be reached.
Possibly they are afraid of spam and automated telemarketers, people faxing endless pages of crap that you keep telling them you don't want? They can be a nuisance.

I have often wondered this myself...I know a lot of people that compete, i have even gotten several to sign up, then they peruse a bit and then never post...I ask them why, and they basically just say they dont have time, or arent interested in the net for much....i wonder if we are missing something for the majority...??

MP, Rome wasn't built in a day. Give it time, CBB has grown tremendously in a short period of time.

AS I am in technology there are times I need to order from the US to get what I want. The selection we have in Canada pales to what is available in the US. If I could buy local I would.
You have made great progress MP and kudos for trying. I would like to see what % of members at bb.com are people that login on a regular basis as opposed to those that signed up and never return. This is a great community that you have developed. Be proud of you accomplishments.

I think the progress CBB has made so far the last while has been really good. We seem to be getting more and more good members, more people posting and not only in the Anabolics Forum either, its good to see more in the Beginner and Nutrition Forums now too.

Most Canadians are politically correct chicken shits I tell all the guys at the gym CBB
They all think its a roid form ( IDIOT"S) :mock
I tell them its fun full of knowledge and the guy's and gals are great :a+
Sometimes (((( Quality is better than Quantity ))))
But I understand from your POV that the more members the better.
So I guess I will keep pressing the form to everyone :yeah
:bch
Don't forget BB.com is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE online store as well, that is where a ton of there traffic comes from.

i am a member of both bb.com and cbb.com i have been a long time member of bb.com but now that i have found this website and frequently visit i like this website much much more.. the people are better and give much better advice.. one of the big problems i found on bb.com is yes it has alot of member but alot of the members are people who spend more time just making pointless threads and pointless comments and people who spend more time talking about working out then actualy doing it. i like this bored alot more because its definitely a quality over quantity deal but i do understand where you are coming from and i recommend this website to everyone i know.
yes the online store brings in alot of people and the same goes for advertising with bb magazines.. have you considered advertising with a website like facebook.. not sure what the costs are but i know i have clicked some adds just to see where the link would take me.

Did the facebook advertsing. Went well but expensive in the long run. The revenue I generate from cbb vs advertising for money let's me do it only peroidically. But it did bring about 50 new members.
Problem with facbook imo is there are 2 sets of people using it. One is for friends as it's real intention was and the other is for marketing which I found is totally gone crazy there. But it's a cash cow for facebook so I presume it'll only get worst in the future.
