Hi all, ive been desperatly searching for a gym that meets my needs here in Vancouver, and after spending the day on google and coming up with nothing concrete i decided to start trying forums, and things here look to be pretty damn awesome, i wish i had found this site a long time ago.

First off ive been down with some physical issues for about a year and i finally have a clear bill of health. Now i live in the Champlain Heights area of Vancouver which is near Boundary and Marine Dr , and i cannot for the life of me find a gym within minutes of my house.

There are 2 rec centers near my place that i went to check out, but neither of them realy seemed to have the atmosphere im after. So anyways my question is simple. Does anyone here know of any non-franchise gyms near the champlain heights area of vancouver that i may have over looked or missed seeing during my internet searches. Sometimes with fitness clubs, the little guys arent as well advertised as the big guys.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to cbb. I know MP only got www.fitnessclassifieds.ca up a short while now, but you can try there to see if anyone posted a gym in your area.

It'll probably be bigger in the future though. Where's physique's gym?

Welcome to CBB.

Hey hulkster, add your gym to www.fitnessclassifieds.ca in the listing section. It's free.

Make sure to put in the postal code correctly. I am currently adding a proximity search so someone enters their postal code and can find all gyms in their area.

Thanks for the replys guys. ahh good ole campbell river! I am from Courtenay BC and i have fond memories of clubbing ( at the one club) in CR . I trained between 2 different gyms in Courtenay, one was called Phase 2 and the other was called Sugers . That was over 6 years ago now though!

I checked out www.fitnessclassifieds.ca , not to much there yet, but it looks like the website could have some great potential.
