He used to be a really big fat guy, like 320 pounds. He went down in size using Deca and I think the guy is clueless about the gear. He always using the worst gear for tested guys.

This would have been a great fight.. i think Pedro rizzo is his replacement.. although i think Ivel would be a good option to. And i thought they only tested after the fight?? I say they give him the two weeks and see how he tests then, lol. Steroids wont change the outcome when you fight Fedor anyway.
Believe it's Belfort Fedor will fight.Lashley apparently didn't want the fight. What a joke.

Josh needed Eq, Deca, and Halo to beat Randy in 02' ... even with the Masteron Fedor would have torn him up.
Assuming Vitor hasnt catabolized too much over the past year while remodelling his body for 185 I think stylistically Belfort will actually make this a competitive fight. Vitors boxing, chin, athletisism, and BJJ are not to be taken lightly regardless of how many times hes put out dud performances in the past.

Have you guys seen Vitor's last fights? He has looked as good as he did when he started.
I know MMA math doesn't add up but look at Fedor's fight with Matt Lindland and look at Vitor's fight with Matt.
Don't count Vitor out. Fedor's hardest fights have been against guys smaler than he is or his size who have great hand speed.
If a conditioned and ready Vitor shows up he can give Fedor fits. It all depends on Vitor. Lately he has been showing up great (can't blame him for his lack of conditioning in previous attempts considering his sister was kidnapped and murdered).
I can't wait for this fight. I perfer this over Barnett easily.

Number two ranked heavyweight Josh Barnett has remained silent since the California State Athletic Commission denied him a license to fight Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction "Trilogy" on Aug. 1. The denial was brought after a pre-fight drug test revealed the presence of a banned performance enhancer.
MMAWeekly was scheduled to shoot training footage and a video interview of Barnett on Wednesday, and aired an interview taken prior to the controversy on MMAWeekly radio the same day.
When news of the license denial broke, Barnett's manager, Shannon Hooper, canceled the interview and said interviews would be granted after working with the commission on the issue.
However, early Thursday morning, Barnett issued a blog posting on his official Myspace account responding to the situation.
"Many of you are wondering what's happening," he wrote. "What I can say is that when applying for my license, the CSAC asked for me to submit a urine sample for testing prior to granting my license as they do with everyone, I believe. It was not a random test. I had no reason to believe there would be any issues and went in to submit my sample at the earliest possible opportunity on June 25th. I never once thought there would be a problem.
"My representatives and I are working to gather as much info as possible and handle this situation as best as we can. I am embarrassed and want for nothing more than to resolve this issue and receive a license from the State of California as I have done many times already and for other states as well.
I am very thankful for all the great family, friends and fans that still support me."

With Josh Barnett’s recent license denial in California due to an alleged positive pre-fight drug test result, which indicated anabolic steroids in his system, the race has been on to find a replacement to face the No. 1 heavyweight fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko, at Affliction “Trilogy.”
Fighters have come out of the woodwork to be considered. Fighters from Brett Rogers to Jeff Monson to Don Frye to Tom Erickson have all indicated their desire to face Fedor.
“I have everyone under the sun saying they have the next person that can beat (Fedor),” said Affliction vice president Tom Atencio.
Initial speculation centered on Vitor Belfort and Bobby Lashley as possibilities, with Belfort quickly becoming the frontrunner. Numerous sources indicate that Belfort has agreed to the fight and it is just coming down to final negotiations.
“By the end of the evening we expect to officially announce who’ll be the replacement for Barnett,” state Vadim Finkelchtein, who owns M-1 Global and manages Fedor. “Vitor Belfort agreed to come in principle.”
While Finkelchtein’s comments seem to further solidify that Belfort is the man to replace Barnett as long as the details can be worked out, but Atencio has steadfastly maintained, “Negotiations or negotiations and until I get the contract, nothing is done. Until you hear it from me, until I have a contract signed, they’re all rumors.”
Affliction Vice President Tom Atencio on Thursday told MMAWeekly.com that Fedor’s new opponent would be announced on Friday.
He obviously would like to know who he is fighting on Aug. 1 as soon as possible, but the shake-up in opponents has done little to deter Fedor.
“I feel disappointed about this situation,” he said, before adding, “But I will fight anyone who Affliction puts in front of me.”
An interesting side note that surfaced at a Thursday press conference with Russian media held by Fedor and Finkelchtein is that Fedor’s U.S. promotional rights no longer belong to Affliction following his “Trilogy” bout. He, of course, remains under a management contract with M-1 Global, but would presumably be free to fight for other U.S. promotions.
Before the rumor mill hits full tilt, however, Finkelchtein wasn’t optimistic that Fedor would step into the UFC’s Octagon any time soon.
“We are open to any offer. The issue really is with the UFC, not with us. We are ready to fight the UFC champions,” he said, but hastened to add, “Randy Couture left the UFC in order to get the opportunity of fighting Fedor. Then the UFC sidelined him and litigation ensued. We want to negotiate and cooperate with the UFC but it seems as though they are not ready.”

I just don't get why his body is so "doughy". Between the hours he works out , the juice he takes he must have the world's worst test production or he eats only donuts for food.
I have natural friend with shit genetics and an even worse diet and he looks better. I don't get why the guy is bad.

There is a big difference between fighting shape and looking good. I bet by "our" standards he overtrains his cardio excessivelly. He probably could train to look pretty if he wanted to, but I doubt he he would have the gas to last more than a round.

Affliction: Trilogy entire event cancelled.

A week of misfortune turned to disaster for Affliction Entertainment on Friday, as the promotion canceled Affliction “Trilogy,” which had been scheduled for Aug. 1 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
SI.com reported the news Friday morning, and Sherdog.com has confirmed that Affliction is notifying fighters' camps.
The cancellation -- which could spell the end of Affliction's year-long run as a mixed martial arts promotion -- comes on the heels of heavyweight Josh Barnett's failed drug test, which forced him out of the “Trilogy” main event against Fedor Emelianenko on Wednesday. Barnett, 32, tested positive for a banned anabolic steroid and was denied licensure by the California State Athletic Commission.
Promoters scrambled to find a replacement opponent for Emelianenko and reportedly considered middleweight Vitor Belfort, light heavyweight prospect Muhammed Lawal and heavyweights Brett Rogers, Paul Buentello, Jeff Monson and Bobby Lashley.

Dont knock fedor, i think considering the guys hes fought its pretty amazing HE HAS NEVER BEEN BEATEN. The reason he hasnt fought in the UFC is because he still wants to be able to fight elsewhere, not just for Dana. Anyone 32-0 deserves some respect. He has beat Tim sylvia, Noguera, Fujita, Cro cop, Coleman, Hunt, Randelman, Arona and arlovski, these guys are no joke. Fedor and brock would be a good fight. Curious to see how that would pan out. Now with the whole affliction going under Dana has announced he will be Holding a press confrence july 31st, who knows what will come of that. And welcome back Tito Ortiz to the UFC as well.

The 1 loss was a cut in a fight that he was winning, they had to call it a loss because it was a tourny and Fedor couldnt move on. Even if you say the people he fought are not the best in the world 30 fights without losing is still very impressive. NO ONE HAS BEAT HIM. We have yet to see him lose. Enough said.

I doubt Randy would last 1 round against Fedor. Randy is great but he's not even a legit heavyweight. Brock Lesnar would have a much, much better chance against Fedor. Clearly you're just a UFC fan boy that shouldn't be making comments about mixed martial arts. Calling Fedor a bum just makes you sound like a dumbass.

Uhhhh he left his head hanging. Brock isn't exactly Flash Gordon. You can actually count in seconds how long that big hammer fist took to hit Coutre. Coutre is over rated big time. I like the guy. I like the Capt. America stuff but let's face it: The guys is 43 years old, on legit HRT, His last 6 fights he's 3-3.
He wasn't a good challeneg for Brock. Neither was MIr. Randy isn't big enough for HW and was fed to Brock.
Fedor would mash Randy up in one round. It wouldn't be pretty either,
Randy stepping up for almost a million a fight? Respect what? His business savvy? He's a legend but come man, he's old and should be retiring. Personally I think a guy on HRT shouldn't be allowed ot fight.

No way. Not talking trash at all. I have tons of respect for Randy and actually have visited his gym in the past. The guy is an animal and no one works as hard as he does.
That said 43 is 43. Time to hang them up. At the level he's fighting he's too old. A guy his size (he's not a natural heavyweight- he's not a huge guy to begin with) and his age will never be able to compete against guys like Brock who is a monster or the guys with the speed and tenecity of Fedor. Randy is my hero but time is a cruel mistress.

Randy is great and has all my respect but his time has passed. This is the Fedor era in the heavyweight division. I still think Fedor would aim to KO Brock and not submit him. He's got a devastating overhand left. Brocks chin has never been tested and I'm sure Fedor would be the one to do it. Look how fast he went after Tim Silvia at Tim's game. Bing bang, almost a ko into a quick rear naked choke. I don't see a different strategy for Brock unless Brock goes in for a shoot. Then it's all Fedor land as I'm very sure Fedor wouldn't let Brock do what he did to Frank Mir. The cat is out of the hat. Brock will try that technique with any submission fighter. Mir just didn't expect that. Fedor will.
Andre Arvolski had a great game plan. Out box Fedor. And he was doing it very well. But with Fedor, if your not perfect, you'll lose. Maybe even if you are you'll lose.
Brock does have a chance though. He's big and moves fast, but he's outclassed on so many levels against Fedor. The only advantage Brock has is size. Nothing else. Fedor is better than him at every skill in the game. He is also a Sambo champion many times over so Brock will have a hell of a time with him on the floor. And Fedor has a tendency to sweat and get very slippery after a hard fought round.
I would love to see Fedor fight Brock just to put the doubter's to rest. I do think Fedor will lose within the next 2 years, but not to Brock.
