I am just going to say I am not in a really good mood and am sick and tired of our country's joke laws. OUr nation has been ruined by a colection of socialists, statists, and big government Liberals who believe that individuals cannot be trusted with their own protection and instead must rely upon some entity called the police. Please forget that this entity is itself the target of frequent corruption probes and newspaper headlines are full of Offer Tony Tough using his taser on kids and elderly.

The even better part is that Canadians instead are not allowed to arm themselves in the event of a home invasion.

Last night some bum tried to rape one of my best friends after he broke in, and had this been a saner place like Texas, she would have had the option of making the gene that much better.

If it wasn't for the fact she is a tank and managed to fight him off I don't know what I would be writing right now.

As funny as the last comment is, it is probably not far from the truth. It seems to me that if someone breaks into my house or acts violently with a member of my family they have already decided to risk their life. I wish the courts could see this. The problem as I see it is that they (the government) want us living in a granny state so that our complete reliance is on the government and it's agents. I suppose it is easier to control the masses this way. It is easy to see it at work in Cuba as i travel there frequently. The mindset of the people is quite different then here. However, I can see us as a nation moving in that direction.

Not so sure... Ever get hit by a bb gun? I have, and only after having pumped the gun once. Now if you have an air cartridge hand bb gun, you can fire off multiple shots and they would be much more powerfull. So 2 things can happen, he can run or if he stays there screaming like a bitch, you move in and finish the job with a bat. Sure not as good as a gun, of course... I`m just thinking of if you get brought to court. I think the charges would be less severe if you shot someone with a bb gun over a hand gun. Either way, hope no one ever has to use either...

One of my hunting rifles holds 7 rounds and its short with open sights and a lever action.
My favorite is the shotgun tho, its legal and very good for cqc. I would never own a handgun, expensive and too many hoops to jump through to own one.

Shotgun is by far the easiest to own and explain. Except for maybe the reason it was loaded and at hand when the intruder arrived. Some ****tard prosecuter is going to call it premeditated. I had two guys attempt to jump a lady and I last year around this time. We tried to walk away and no luck. One guy got hurt bad and the other ran calling 911 on his cell. Its like they only chose easy prey.

It's not hard if your a club member. It gives you a reason to own the gun. After your a member with a club they will get the A.T.T(authorization to transport) permit for you. This does not mean you can conceal carry. It just means you can transport that fireams to any range, gun store, or gunsmith within your province.

The best home defense hands down is a shotgun. You hit someone with that, and you know their down. If he's armed I don't want him to have the chance to pop a round off.

GATINEAU, Que. -- A 24-year-old Quebec man is in critical condition suffering from stab wounds after a violent home invasion in the Hull sector of Gatineau, Que., Saturday morning.


The man was attacked by two suspects who broke into his apartment at about 2:30 a.m., said Gatineau police Lt. Jean-Francois Beauchamp.


The victim was stabbed during a struggle with the intruders, Beauchamp said. Police said the man underwent emergency surgery Saturday morning at the Gatineau Hospital, but his life remains in danger.


A witness saw the suspects flee the scene in a car, but further details were not immediately available, Beauchamp said, adding that the case has been handed to the force's major crimes unit.


It is not yet known if anything was taken from the apartment.


The name of the victim has not been released.
