So I had bought a Weider bench and the thing was a joke, the bar that came with it was only rated for 100#'s. I was wondering if any of you guys/gals work out at home and could give me some info on your equipment, I don't want to spend a lot because I will be back in the gym in March but until then I am getting tired of doing chest on the floor so any info on your equipment would be awesome.

coscto sometimes has a decent smith machine there.....i picked up the nautillas one a few years ago....a while back it was golds gym...under $1000 and has lat pull down, low row, incling decline..200 pounds of weights etc....maybe more than you want to spend but its handy to have around..........watch kijiji for stuff in your area.

I don`t think it`s even worth buying cheap home equipment. A good multi angle type bench you would use for doing dumbell presses costs around $500 I was told. A swiss ball could be used as a bench that wouldn`t cost too much. Like the boss ^^^ said, look into getting used stuff.

if you dont mind spending the extra money your probably best to go with commercial equipment especially if you lift heavy and intense, it will last a hell of alot longer.
