I imagine there are some light weeks scheduled every once and a while. I never heard such advice, going so long without taking a break. Right now I`m on cycle and feel the need to take a break, but am holding off t`ill the end of the month it will have been 3 months. When natural I need a week off every 6-8 weeks.

Taking time off has nothing to do with periodization. If you arre not using some kind of periodization with your workouts youll have CNS burnout quite soon. not to mention joint issue etc.
Time off is actually not training...the better your genetics the more time off you can take.
