Is there any drawbacks to eating a hearty amount of blueberries while on a cutting diet?

lets say around 3 cups throughout the day

high in fibre which can help keep you full...
contain few calories....70 in a cup
relitively low amount of sugar...
not to mention the #1 natural source of anti oxidants....

i only ask because i cant seem to get enough of em these days...

may be a retarded question, but thought i might ask anyways...

;)

I`d keep them in the pre and post workout meal if possible. Avoid the carbs for the remaining of the meals.

Three cups is way too much fruit while dieting...if you are on a low carb low fat diet try to keep it to sprinkles on your oatmeal etc if you are on a keto diet...eliminate them completely.

i hear yea, but i was under the impression that carbs in the form of fibre dont count as "carbs" per say....your body cannot digest fibre...(not that im even on a keto diet, but nontheless)

this is why i ask, because alot of peopler seem to have the fruit-phobia mentallity while dieting, and i understand that with most of the fruit choices out there, but as far as blueberries go, i couldnt really see the logic behind that school of thought.

Dietary fibre per cup 3.5g
Net Carbs 18

That almost 60g carbs(3 cups) coming from fructose...not a good idea if trying to lose fat.

to be honest, everybody is different i find i can cut pretty good while still consuming fruit and such but then there are other who are the opposite. your best with trial and error. eat em for a month and see where you stand if things arnt going well cut them out, if things are going smooth then keep enjoying them.

I just want to second this. Especially if taken pre workout with some oatmeal and protein, it`s a great way to fuel your workout. Man it must suck to follow a diet where you can`t take advantage of the fruits while they`re in season. I hope this diet is for a bodybuilding show, because you can get very lean eating carbs. Although the palumbo diet is very effective, I think people are way too sucked into this method thinking it`s the only way to get lean. It`s not.

I`m talking leanish like Levrone in his after pic. I`m not a fan of the sucked in face, looks like I`m gonna die look, so why would I do a diet to look like that? And like I said in my post, the no carb diet is for the competition saying if he`s doing that diet that the no carb diet is for just that.

Yes definitely for a BB contest...just to lean out a bit...you could go with a varity of diets....a small amount of fruit wouldnt hurt agree.
