I have been jogging consistently lately, and I notice I get the shin splints, but thats not the thing thats bugging me the most. I seem to get a sharp pain through the bridge of my left foot that sometimes sends me limping the rest of the way back to the gym.

I bought a good pair of Asics with arch supports and they have helped. I have also lost almost 20 pounds in a little over a month by quitting weights, crazy eating and I do 2 hours of cardio mostly Boxing and MT training 5 days a week. It has helped a lot, and there are some days when I dont have a problem, but others my shins and feet are on fire.

Will this eventually just go away?

When I played high school rugby we had a fairly strenuous conditioning regiment that involved a LOT of jogging.

At first I got HORRIBLE shin splints and foot pain as well, but after a while it went almost completely away.

I only weighed about 165 lbs at the time, so this information might not be that relevant, but I hope it helps.

yeah I notice it getting better but then when I went for my friday jog I was like holy **** just as bad as my first week all over again lol. I am a tiny little 183ib guy now and my coach thinks 170 would be a good fighting weight for me so I am not to far off your weight back then lol

Got to a New Balance store or a running room You don't have to buy the shoes there $$

See if you Over Pronate or Under pronate You may need a sability type shoe

or if your over 250 some NB 993's (169.99 sucks ) & Ugly as F'k Sorry

Jogging is gay, this is just your feet's way of telling you that you suck.

Yep. Go to Running Room and get properly fitted. It makes all the difference. If you run a lot you can burn out a pair of shoes in a few months.

HA...HA Lol!!! that is some funny shit, jogging does suck but you should look in to support shoe's like LH suggested, I just paid $300.00 for a pair of Asics and they were worth every penny plus orthotics in them to help straighten my hip flexors.

Good call. I swtitched from Nikes to New Balance and the pain in my feet is gone. They were recommended by my chiropractor. I bought a couple of pairs - one for training and one for walking.

Honestly i agree with livehard. I had so many feet problems i almost had to stop all cardio and sports. But then i started whereing new balance shoes. there not the coolest looking but for everyday shoes they solved everything. Also if it gets bad as mine where get some custom orthotics from a specialist to put in your shoes. I did that for 2 years and now my feet knees low back are excellent. New balance shoes really do make the differnce.
