Is the most painful thing that I have ever done in my life.

A client of mine compared it to child bearing. Imagine a 90 min ART sessions.

It releases the fascia in your whole body and helps to bring balance back plus helps you perform better ( my vertical jump increased 2 inches in 3 sessions)

I have done 3 out of 12 sessions and the changes in my body are crazy.

The whole left side is moving freely and stronger, my R shoulder issues improved a lot, breathing has improved as well as my rib cage has more ROM.

But crazy stuff happens as well like not having good balance for a few days before seeing a lot of improvement at once, I am feeling more tightness in my low back and will have to put up with it for a while and so on.

I am happy with the results so far and will give a report after the end of the sessions.

After all these years of punishment I really needed some relief of the restrictions associated to that.

Maybe you too:puff

What exactly do the sessions entail? From googling i only see what the end results aim for, but not how theyre done. Just curious.

Rolfing?

Rolfing is the mother of all these types of therapies (Ida Rolf did and amazing job with the resources that she had.

Them there is NISA.

The Tom Meyers wrote anatomy trains and developed his own brand of fascia release work and that is pretty much the top of line nowadays.

When I asked my therapist (that is a Chek exercise coach)if there are many people like me that are willing to come back even after all that pain his answer was that the pain is proportional to the level of restriction of the client.

The idea is quite simple: there are interconnected lines of fascia trough the body, some are deep some are superficial, with the years of training and faulty movement and injuries use in general we develop unbalances that disturb the flow of movement in he fascia.

Fascia wraps muscle therefore if fascia isn't moving properly muscle will not as well and if fascia is healthy muscle is more efficient.

What he does is to apply pressure on the fascia and them apply movement. If the fascia is healthy the movement will be free the more unhealthy the fascia is harder the work will be and more painful as well.

I did years of plyometrics plus injuries plus Thai Boxing plus weight training plus indoor cycling BINGO I am fukkedup!

Hell I have never felt so much pain in my life.

Yesterday we worked in the deep core and the guy released my diaphragm.

I had to relax and while sitting and crunch leaning with my back against his leg. Them he reached inside/under my rib cage (kinda of gross to see someone pretty much holding your ribs with palms on top and fingers around and wrapping inside your stomach).

I still have his nail marks in stomach.

But as soon as he finished I was 100% better, my breathing is so much lighter and effortless.

He said that we may have to repeat this session as I have too much build up in the area and I am willing to give a try again as I could see a huge improvement.

6 down, 6 more to go
