Hey guys, im not really there quite yet, still have a couple more weeks of bulking... but Im just curious what you all thought was good for cutting, specifically abdominals and such. Obviously increased Cardio, but how much, if you dont want to get catabolic... 6ft1, 240 lbs. What type of training do you guys do after a bulker??? Just getting some ideas, thanks fellas:D

You can start out with 20mins of cardio five times per week and bump it up 5 minutes per week until you get to 45-60mins per session. The two best times to perform cardio are in the morning on an empty stomach and after weight training....in each case glycogen stores in the muscle and liver will be low and the body will more readily tap in to fat stores. Morning cardio has a slight advantage in fat burning though as blood sugar levels will typically be at their lowest of the day. If you are worried about losing too much muscle mass though there are a few things you can do. Keep your heart rate at no higher 65-70% of max rate during your cardio sessions (so that you are burning a higher percentage of fat and rather than carbs and muscle tissue) and you can also take BCAA caps or a small amount of zero carb protein powder before cardio, either will help prevent catabolism. All that said your diet will be a much bigger part of the cutting puzzle than cardio...

keep protein intake really high and u wont loose muscle. Like gustavo said cardio is key as well. Take some clen too if u want and u'll burn fat quicker.
