Cable. Nothing worse that watching a UFC fight and the Sat goes down due to rain, snow, wind or solar flares.

also, it's nice to be able to have multiple TV's in the house without needing multiple recievers.

I got special cable for $60 one time fee. Have to pay for internet, but god I love how this province works some times.

'special Satellite' has been down for a while now, unless you get a very specific box (n-fusion). Even then there's no guarantee it will stay up. They're saying it will be back in a couple of months but no one knows at this point.

It's summer, so I'm not missing tv at the moment. If it's not back by winter I'll go cable.

I hope so. They will eventually get it up. Too much $$$ in it not to.

But what's this about a 'special cable'??

I think you need to have Rogers cable providing internet. This carries both the internet and TV signal, but you just pay for the internet and get a splitter to extend the cable to a cable receiver box for your tv signal. The reciever box decodes all the channels broadcasted by the cable provider. Rogers do charge an additional administrative fee if you have internet only and no TV to partially counter this.
