I hate using the T-bar machine at the gym and prefer using an olympic bar and performing this exercise off the ground against a squat rack.
Problem is the more weight i put on the bar the other end lifts up and falls out of place :S
I found this homemade device as a solution anyone know of a device you can buy so i can bitch at my gym to get it?

if you had strick form and proper technique and left your ego outside and gym you wouldnt have the problem. i slap on 5 45s and have no problems at all with the rear lifting

Yea i have a training partner put there foot on it, but sometimes i dont have one which is the problem.
You saying corners are best for by yourself?

My gym, as far as I know, is in the process of ordering this. Not sure how well it will work, but the idea is sound. Seems like it'll do the job:

^^ my gym has this... the football players use it for 1 arm shoulder press type exercise

Place the end of the bar against any wall. Put a dumbbell over it. Problem solved. I have been doing this for years without a problem and when bulking I lift up to 8 - 45's at a time.
Just dont put no 20lb dumbbell over top of it lol. Put he heaviest one closest to you.

My piece of shit gym has this thing to my amazement, works well.
Some gyms won't allow using the corner. If you have your own cage, great idea Ogrew.I have the exact same one.
like someone else said...throw a few plates or big (150lb) db on the end of it....it wont go anywhere....
Ogrew's idea seems cleaner...too much shit in my garage tex.
whatever it takes to get the job done!
