I like silva also, but the crowds love watching action, lesnar is action....It is needed in the fight game...Boxing was a top draw for crowds when tyson or other action oriented guys were fighting...Most talked about etc...
Silvas last fight showed he had skills, but was a dissappointment to the crowds....

well....i am with TheBoss on this one.....and i think the point may have been missed in comparing Brock to Kimbo. sure he is an accredited athlete but he is also a side show. jerry springer was the mayor of Cincinnati, that didnt make his show politically correct.
in my opinion, brock is not more exciting to watch than silva. most of brock's fights have been him laying on top of his opponent without submission or finish attempt(although he is improving). silva has had a couple slow fights in a long career.
it's a free world, one in which most people have no regard for anyone other than themselves. if brock feels that a true champion(role model) should be a cocky, arrogant in your face type rather than a humble leader, than that is his choice. after all, he is pretty much a poster boy for the american machine.
all that said, Mir was mouthing too much too but he was eventually gracious in defeat. and honestly:D i have to admit i got a kick out of brock's post fight comments.
Brock has no skill.......just size and strength.

he is definitely bringing more excitement to an already exciting sport....he will draw the crowds, as freaks always have since the beginning of time...its a primal thing, and I am excited to watch him in the future...I cant wait to see the next level that will draw out more talented large fellas to challenge the Champion....He is also a very good showman and can get everyone going, just read this thread....i love it, and i bet he loves watching the comments also....

he was a great wrestler, that i admit and he is improving at MMA....i just prefer skilled fighters not someone who relies on size & strength. For now he is champ but I hope that someone takes it from him....the champ should be a good role model, there are lots of kids interested in this sport, hell everyone seems to be and his attitude after the fight sucked. I do feel Mir is a more skilled fighter, its too bad it didnt go his way, I will not deny that he too can be cocky.....we all can.

I'd be ****in pissed if I got booed after winning the fight fair and square too. These guys have been training for months. I used to hate Lesnar but after watching Mir talk shit about him and everyone else underestimating him, I understood where he came from when he flipped the bird at the crowd booing him. He deserved the win and he's been training as hard if not harder than everyone else. The adrenaline rush also made him do things he wouldn't have done without it also, I'M sure.

brock lesnar is a big, strong and fast athlete. He is a great wrestler but not a great fighter yet. He will dominate the heavy weights for some time simply due to his enormous size but he is definetly lacking in the skill department. When he does become a skilled mma fighter i dont think anyone will stop him, which is to bad, because i hate his attitude and the things that come out of his mouth.

I give Lesner credit, he is an amazing athlete but there is no skill in taking your opponent to the ground and laying on him till yo uhave an opening to donkey punch the shit out of him. From a technical point of view he's a very skilled fighter (wrestling is a skill). Just because someone isn't good at jujitsu doesn't mean they arn't skilled. He takes his opponents down whenever he wants and completely controls them. It's a fight, it doesn't have to look pretty.

I guess I just prefer fights that stay off the ground, I like 2 guys that go toe to toe and bang, I love watching people get knocked out. I give ground guys credit for the years of dedication that they put into there martial art of choice but I would rather see stand up. Don't get me wrong Lesner beat the piss out of Mir, I just would have liked to see him do more once he had him on the ground. I found it a little boring, but a beating is a beating and nobody can deny that.

I like brock lesnar....You hear alot of small dudes saying size doesnt matter during a fight. Then you see brock fight haha. I am a bigger guy and I have faught some more skilled fighters than myself but I can dominate them due to being able to throw them on the ground and sit on there chest and beat there face in.
