Ya its funny watching the america`s toughest prisons, the inmates were bitching about being on lock down for 16 days and that the food was not good enough. There is no comparison....

I have met 3 people that survived to a place like this.

2 where alive out of luck as they left it just before riots

The 3rd died of AIDS that he got inside leaving wife and son behind.

None of them liked to talk too much about it even though they always stated that they never got into real problems there.

One had to "get married" in the first day in order to not be rapped by guys that didn't have sex for about 8 years, and ended up turning into a dealer inside.

The other 2 where really good soccer players and they kept scoring while in there therefore they got protection.

None of them ended up well in life and all of them where really nice to me and always said the same thing: You're the smart one keeping you job and going to school!

The when I see these gangsters wanna be I don't know if I laugh or if I feel sorry for them.

Another friend was a cop and he told me that 80% of the guys that he put in prison came from evangelical families.

His explanation was quite simple: too much repression makes that to people.

I have had a few encounter in Brazil with people that had been inside and none of them said that they where innocent!

Ya I have been in more than my fair share of shit and should of probably been locked up more than I was but ya they are way to "cushy" as you said.
