When you go to dinner with Gf, and the bouncer stare all the time , i make coment why they stare, he tells me because owner as them to. These are skinny kids in 20's weigh-in maybe 180-200, if he dont' know who the're against why would you chance.. i think the smaller ones ( with pretent watemeons under arm) are worst. I see one in shopping store, the othe day,and gave him lesson, why you never be ruid to people you dont' know. All we do is do to eat dinner. but GF say, they were specking of her and thinks looking for problems. boucers of always tuff in pack, but in one , they will basicly laid on floor. or tuff ones end up on floor.

Yep, i agree with monka but I would take it one step further. Call the owner of the club and let them know why you are not returning.

Bouncers at a restraunt? Thats a new one to me!

but ya, dont worry about it, just ignore it, pretty common for bigger guys to get that kind of treatment.

Bump to this! I bounce at a night club and that shit is just not tolerated. We are there to provide a safe environment for people to enjoy themselves in, we are not there to intimidate anyone.

I never really have a problem it must be a place with a bunch of jelous little kids who think jumping a big guy will make them tough.
Its usually these guys that stand around and do nothing while the bigger older dudes do all the physical stuff when the shit hits the fan.

I alwyas try to respect everyone while i'm working. After all is said and done im their for the cash, the cheap booze, and the easy girls. I don't want to leave with either a black eye or a stab wound.

I have noticed that with other big guys there is a mutual respect (usually). It's the small little guys that always have something to prove. I remember "dealing" with 2 maybe 120lbers outside one night. I figured that it was a fair fight seeing as combined we weighed about the same.

So true. This is also the case in the gym, LOL.

ok, haha, I know this is my first post on this board but some of you may recognize me from other boards....

I have 2 comments to this thread. One, just let it slide. If you don't like the attention and can't handle it then stop hitting the gym and become 'one of them'

My second comment is GUYS!!, the spelling on this board is atroshish (very bad!)... I know I am not always correct and get typing faster then my brain works but some of these posts are so bad its almost hard to make out what you are trying to say or portray. Everyone is talking about stereotyping bouncers in clubs and intimidating, blah, blah, blah......lets not conform to the stereotypical meathead that can't spell...If you don't know the correct spelling of a word, simply pull up Word and spell check it then copy and paste. Or better yet, write your post then copy and paste it into Word and have it spell check the entire post for you. Just a thought.

Most of these places in Toronto are restaurants until about 10(reservations needed), then are open to the public(dresscode applies). You can find them on King West, Queen West and College St. to name afew. These clubs are upscale and very rarely have any altercations(just people with too much money and way too much to drink). Now Richmond St. "the entertainment district" is a piece a crap. With the exception of the young, beautiful, naive girls, this area is full of ghetto/country wannabes, who are in the big city for probably their first time. Most of the security in this area is what you would call amateur. If your looking for trouble, you'll always find it here(but i'm sure that's true for most metro urban city club/bar districts). That's Toronto in a nutshell and just an opinion.

There are a lot of punk ass bouncers big and small who talk the talk but can't walk the walk. Just when the shit hits the fan they find something else to do like pick up beer bottles or chairs. Just watch out for the the little bouncer that seems out of place. You know the guy who seems just a little to laid back, not cocky but confident. If you make eye contact with him he will look you dead in the eye ( he might nod at you) size you up an then continue scanning the crowd. I used to be that Bouncer 13 years ago, weighed in at 168 lbs with a six pack. What most people did not know was that this little pencil of a bouncer was a Pro Boxer( 13 pro fights) trying to make it to the big time. Thing was when shit hit the fan you would find me and my Boss always back to back knee deep in it. My boss loved me, he said that I was like his own personal attack dog. It took a few years before word got around to leave the little guy alone. We would show up and reular scrappers would find better things to do then fight. Just the way life is.
