He: 9 years old, house broken (been solid, never had an accident after he was trained), no medical issues.

In the last two weeks nomatter how "dry" we keep him (i.e walks, vet said cut water after 9pm etc.) he is peeing all over. It's not necessary pee. It's that little drops thick stuff.

Why is he marking? Any insights?

Could be a bladder infection I'd get some blood tests done to find out, a run of antibiotics should help the poor guy. We had the same problem with our dog, he will hold going to the can until he's about to burst normally so for them to go in the house you know its something serious for them to do that because they know better.

Blood work was done for UTI 2 x. It was ruled out.

when does he seem to be going? is it at night when you guys are sleeping or anytime, and when anyone is around? if you have ruled out medical then it's either psychological or behavioral.

This happened to my male dog when he was 7, he was leakin out of his dick, the vet said it was his prostate, so we had him nuetered and it fixed the problem.

what kind of dog is it? urination is a side effect of diabetes too...but i'm sure they checked his blood sugar if they took blood at the vets...

He's been checked 2x by 2 seperate vets. No physcial problems. They said he needs to see a "behaviorist" but at 125$/hr forget that. I might start crating him .

maybe he's like my Dad, and is getting older and needs to pee evey half hour lol

sometimes with dogs when this starts it's due to a change in the environment, a change in the owners or something going on in your life that you and the dog are unsure of and now it's posibly manifested into a nervous urinating. I'm fairly certain that crating him will only make the issue worse when he is out of the cage. If he's older than the cage would seem as punishment, unless introduced properly.

There are several routes to take with your dog at this point, Is this a spotting issue? where he dribbles when sitting down? or is he cocking his leg and giving a full on spray?

Anyway, I'm no expert, but having dogs all my life, I would be willing to try and work through this with ya bro. Before you crate yor dog or just give up on him try a few different things first.

Let me know and we can go from there.

Peace

He is probably just really exited because Dogs and cats can now join their owners in executive or economy class on Air Canada flights.

Why is he marking? Any insights?I have ownwed dogs all my life.I dont know the breed of your dog but large dogs dont live as long as a smaller dog.I do believe finding a good vet.I have only seen a couple cases where they do it from age.Im talking 15 - 17 yrs.I have personsaly lost a dog to cancer(wtf). And your right they will hold it longer than us not to piss in the house.I would get a second apinion.Just like a human. They wont do it normally unless there is something wrong. And yes dogs have emotions.Do not stress them out. They really are mans best friend.(No i am not a dog ****er Rich)hahaha
