Yes it was a joke. Cantrell went down without even taking a solid punch. That uppercut hits him inthe shoulder/chest, the elbow grazes his ear, then hes tapping before Kimbo evenfollows up on th ground.

He got hit more AFTER he tapped then he did before!!

Actually, to be fair, the whole event was garbage,but hopefully these guys keep putting good cards together and build a solid promotion!

I think Kimbo gets extreme responses - either pople are slobbering over his knob because hes a big, bad, black man who (mostly white) teenage boys everywhere want to be respeccted/feared like.

On the other hand, people hate him for the same reason.

But from the pople who train with him, I hear nothing but really cool things about him - he trains hard, learns from anyone inthe gym to improve his game, never swears around kids, respectful as hell etc.

He sounds like a decent guy to me, though i wish he'd ditch the losers/ hangers on that you see in his back yard fights. Those guys are pure worthless trash riding his coat tails.

I dont think they want kimbo to lose though. he brings in his own fan base, and that leads to more PPV buys. I think the days of bringing in established athletes just so they lose are over. Kimbo has a ton of fans on the net aready,that means $$$ for whatever promotion he signs with.

They are going to give him fighters he can handle to ease into MMA. Throwing any tough guy into the UFC and expecting him to win is ike throwing any tall guy into the NBA and expecting him to score a triple double.

Neer happen. He needs many MMA fights, and even years of training before hes ready for elite fighters.

a couple of months with bas will improve your skills, but we haven't even seen him get brought to the mat for real.

he's a solid boxer, with a very solid jaw.
He needs to train for about a year straight on take down defense, and his ground game for him to have any chance in UFC.
Stand up though......damn he's good. He would KO silvia 1st round I think.
