If his upper body matched those legs he'd move up the placings dramatically. Very impressive.

His upper body is massive too lol.

He is a monster. He should win whatever he enters.

Not to carve on our fellow Canadian Fouad, as he has always been nice to me... but, am I the only on that thinks he hasnt quite made the improvements that are necessary for him to take things to the next level???

I'd have to see more pictures. His quads look freaky big.

He looks awesome...I just wished it was him UK that gave us these locker room peaks. Back in the day when he was like us, he posted them on our sites himself.

"Fou........don't forget your Canadian fans dear."]

We miss you.

I think what he means is being competitive on stage with the big boys at the Mr. O. I agree he has made huge improvements and looks awesome. What I think BDH was getting at is that there is another level, and he maybe hasn't gotten there yet. Personally, I would need to see more pictures, too hard to tell from only one pose.

I want to know if people think he has what it takes to compete in the O... just like O'Hurley said...

And I dont know how accurate these rankings are, but they have him at #30...

getbig.com/ranking/prorankm.htm

Also, I dont want this to come off like I am not proud of Fouad. As I said before, he has always been cool with me when weve interacted on the boards. Obviously, we all want him to sit atop the throne that seats Mr Olympia. I am just questioning whether he has made the necessary improvements to be competitive.

i believe he has the frame to do well on the Olympia stage, either way even if he qualifies this year I dont think he will be doing the O... he wants to add another 10lbs to his frame at least.. top 10 Mr.O next year? quite possible if you ask me.

here he is at last years Europa show.. he placed 3rd behind Toney Freeman and Dennis James..

I think he made the improvements to definitely be competitive.. but i dont think he is ready to break out in the top 10 at the O just yet... but with that said, i think he has a great chance of winning a show this year.

Funny thing is he used to be the exact opposite, small legs, big upper....I used to train beside him and Lou joseph back in my windsor years at lifestyle, he has made huge changes since his canadian competitive yrs, won his pro card at 226 lbs.....
But not at the top level yet....IMO, needs to do some work on arms etc...
Hope the best for him and respect for sure...

Whats going on everyone. Just to set the record straight I haven't forgotten anyone who supported me along the way. I was posting on other sites and was receiving a lot of emails from Canadian fans so I figured I was still on top of things. Regardless, you guys are right and since I am Canadian I should be here for anyone who has questions.

I also wanted to touch on BDH's comments. He is a complete jackass and has no idea what he is talking about...sorry bad jk.
In all honesty, he is totally right. I have made some improvements and I had an okay offseason but not as successful as I would have like for some different reasons. The main reason being small injuries throughout the year.
Some improvements are fuller legs, shoulders, chest and back. Not necessarily bigger but more complete and more full. So my weight might only be a few pounds heavier than last year but I expect to have a different look this year. Finally just so you can all say I said it myself. I am not ready to stand with the top ten at the O, I think I need another year without injury to get into that spot.
That being said I am going into Tampa with the mindset of being able to compare with Dennis James and at least get a good look with Toney Freeman. No predictions but I am aiming for a top spot.

Thanks to all of you for the support and kind words.

Fouad has no illusions of winning the O this year, next year or even the year after. He does have goals for himself that could be very attainable if he continues to make improvements.

Rome wasn't built in a day and improvements - at that level - take time to do.

I have the privilidge to train at one of the same gyms as hoss and must say the intensity that he brings to training motivates me to work harder each and every day. Not everyone at the gym realizes it but it is a honour to train in the same building as a former and future mr.O competitor. Any haters out there i challenge you to come to the gym and witness the training intensity this athlete has..plus the man is incredibly humble to say the least..

very highly doubt it.....mostly admiration and motivation......Absolutely... at the same time, I wont swing from his schween, either...

As was said before, we have had convos before and he is a good guy...weve always gotten along... he also knows I am not without experience in the contest scene(albeit not my own)...

I also dont expect the guy to lose sleep over my comments... He is a pro for a reason... he knows what he has to look like to make top 10, as well as whether he is there or not...

I was simply trying to start an intelligent conversation about whether he had hit that level yet... jeez luis(he's mexican)...

Hey guys just thought I would drop in and share this interview I did with BBing.com recently. As for pics, I don't think I will be posting anymore. I normally don't care but I would like to wait until after TB to start doing it again. Sorry. If you guys have any other questions feel free to ask, I am glad to be able to give back to anyone who needs help or is interested.
Thanks.

I had the pleasure of doing a bodybuilding.com interview with Matt Weik, check it out here, http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/fouad_abiad_interview2.htm.

very nice interview Fouad..

just a question.. I know with Chad you only dieted for 8 weeks or so for a contest, how is this new diet and length affecting you if at all? i believe its 14 weeks this time around? are you feeling tired/hungry? do you think it will have a better impart in your overall condition? thanks

He will be a major player in a short time. The frame and the base is there. It's just a matter of fine tuning now.
