Will update this with details later but basically need to post this as I need help staying strict again. Reporting to you friends on here makes me feel accountable - I will post updates every day.

Was keto till mid May at 191.5 @ 15.5BF, added carbs, blew up.. cutting carbs again I feel like crap with carbs in my diet and dont like the not so lean look.

Tanita scale is saying I put on 34 pounds and 5% body fat.

June 28 - 225.4 / 21%

Hold up, you gained 35lbs in 2 months just by adding carbs? Were you calorie neutral or did you really "ADD" carbs?

If you do the math you will see you put on 16.5 lbs. of muscle.
Pre 161.6 lean mass
Post 178.1 lean mass
Gain 16.5 lean mass

So @210 you will be back to about 15%. You only have about 15 lbs. of fat to drop.

Good work

P.S. As a warning the more muscle you put on the less accurate the Tanita will become.

You should try the Atkins diet there are 4 phases to help you maintain your weight so you don't gain or lost weight once you hit the weight you like, great book for 9.00 dollars.

Fully agreed.

The way these devices work (we had a prior discussion on that very same topic last year) and the formulas they use to extrapolate your results from it's sampled reference results database makes it unideal for bodybuilders or people with a high density of muscle mass.

So the best thing you can hope for is to use it as a reference (using deltas in between reads) as opposed to an absolute value.

gsxr750 was following a Ketogenic (CKD?) diet and it worked pretty well for him.

I always assumed that Atkin's and the Keto was the same diet as both revolve around using ketone bodies as fuel by means of carb deprevation. So unless I am mistaken, he should be pretty familiar with Atkin's already.

gsxr750, is there any reason why you won't go back to KD/CKD?

When I got down to 191 on the keto diet I was fairly lean but it was obvious I needed a bit more lean mass on my frame. So I hopped on a Palumbo style 'clean bulker'..

My body changed quite rapidly with the new diet as expected. I am bigger, stronger, but also softer, and I don't feel as good as when in ketosis if that's possible lol. Also the cravings are unbearable.

So back on the keto diet now, see how I look at 10% BF hopefully!

I know exactly how excess carb feels, and yes, it is possible you feel better (excluding first week) on a Keto style diet than on a regular or worst, high carbs diet.

Good luck bro and keep us updated.
