currently i am taking one scoop of ON whey preworkout which the bottle claims it has over 5 grams of bcaa and i take two scoops postworkout so according to the bottle it would be over 10 grams of bcaa postworkout.

should i add a scoop of pure bcaa powder to my pre and postworkout shakes? or am i already gettin enough BCAA and i would just be wasting it cause the body doenst need that much.

Always take extra bcaa on an empty stomach when no other amino acids are present. That`s the way I`ve done it with good results and every expert I`ve read on the subject says that`s the way to go.

You could take some pre and/or during. That would be ideal.

Pre, during and after work very well. The only downside is the cost which means buying in bulk is the only solution. After your workout take it with dextrose or whatever carb source you think is best with creatine. Drink that then 20 minutes later have your protein drink. I would drink some during the workout with some gatorade as well. Never used musch carb powder pre workout with the bcaa just enough to mask the taste, maybe 10 grams or so. Screw the caps and the flavored stuff, way overpriced.
