Just wanted to give so feedback for those who may be thinking about if TRT is for them. First off, I am an older guy in my 40’s and have had blood work done and it was discovered that my natural test level is low.

I have been lifting since I was in my teens, not hardcore but kept in shape. Over the years I have had lots of offers for gear but like many have heard all the negative effects of AAS so I always declined. This was probably a good thing as you don’t need it when you are young. I would take extended time off, like months of not training and most of my strength gains would be gone but after a few weeks they would be back.

Well, into my late 30’s and early 40’s the strength was hard to regain. After a shoulder operation which had me off for 8 months it never returned. Over the last couple years may strength and stamina was sliding to the point were it actually had me going to the doc to see WTF was going on. Test came back with low test levels; he figured I may have been like this for years if not most of my adult life. It all made sense now, no wonder I struggled to make gains.

He put me on test-e which I have supplemented up to the dose of 500mg / week and after 3 weeks it has starting to kick in. I am benching more now then I have even had. It really does make you feel like a new man. I’m not saying it’s the fountain of youth but it sure does make you feel a whole lot better, and for me I not worried about it screwing up my natural test level since it’s on the slide anyways. Not sure what to do about a PCT but that for another thread in a few weeks.

I would call BS to if I wasn't there. I was only going to go up 30lbs but I felt strong today and I had a spotter. So after adding much internal debate I decided to go for it. I thought, you are going to look like an idiot if you can't get this thing off your chest but manage to squeeze out 4 on my own and another 4 assist.

Too bad there's such a negative stigma about steroids because they can do a lot of good as long you know what your doing. But I guess the doctors don't want the competition. LOL

Not needed Mike. I've been on TRT for close to 4 years now, i do a 20 week summer cycle every year and when i'm done i just bring the test down to TRT levels and stay at that till next summer.

TRT was life changeing for me, enjoy the ride. :yeah

Ha! I`m doing a 20 weeker now and will do a solid pct followed by a 3 month "extra special super shiny amazing natural supplement stack" after help keep gains. But if it really sucks and feel like shit and can`t see myself doing that every year, will do exactly what you just said for the rest of my life.

Yessir. PCT is to get your natural testosterone up by stimulating your Hypothalmus-pituitary-testes-axis. Your TRT (or HRT) should mean you are no longer trying to get your natural HPTA going, but not necessarily. If you don't do too long a cycle and are on a low TRT replacement dose, you may want to stimulate what you've got with some Clomid. You're only running 200 mg per month? That's low. You may no longer be happy with after roid supplementation. In any case, I still like to use HCG during cycles to keep the little hangers fat and because there is a definite libido effect.

I have Clomid on hand, I figure because my natural production is very low I'm not to worried about screwing it up. Doctor said that at my age trying to stimulate the production would be a waste, maybe 10 years ago but I am beyond that point. I go back in next month for my shot and I am going to discuss bumping it up because it is a very low dose. He was telling me he has a teen coming in 3x a month for test shots.

200mg. a month is very low. Thats about what i do a week. Well every 8 days, i use a multi estered test and e8d works great for me (not open for debate :D).. Doctors are kind of bad with these really low doses imo, though this is probably the lowest i've seen so far.

I contacted them and they wanted $425 for a one hour consultation. So I went to a walking clinic, told the doctor I was feeling rundown and low libido, sent me for a test and then wrote the scipt. I'm sure this clinic would do a lot more but at what cost? $425 then the test and treatments. Stick with the public, if your older your test is probably low or do a 6 week cycle then go to the doc for the test and its sure to be low. I did more so I didn't have to hide the gear at home...doctors orders....LOL

Yeah, my test is starting to kick in, but I only have a script for 100mg/week for 10 weeks. I'm hoping to get it renewed and for 200-250/week indefinitely but we'll see how open he is. I got this because I am contest dieting and I said that my libido was low and that I could get the test legally or illegally but wanted to be safe and run blood work etc. He seemed fine with it. I like the fact that i don't have to hide it, but would definitely like more!!! We'll see if the clinic gets back to me or not. I'm in Van for Nationals and would pop in, but $425 seems a bit steep for a consult with no gaurantee of getting a script; sort of like gambling. Now if they could gaurantee it, I would pay it in a flash! Much easier than acquiring it on my own around here.

Sounds like you pay the consultation fee,, and they will put you on some sort of cycle. Id go there over the clinic.

We aren't talking about illegal drugs, this is a legitimate scipt and mine was 39.90 for a 5ml bottle of test e 200mg/ml

This isnt the US bro - even at a private clinic you need bloodwork to indicate that you require TRT --> they do not give out cycle dosages, period. If you want to get them to up yout dosages then lower your inject volume (ie shoot 50mgs instead of 100mgs for your last shot before getting follow up labs and your Test levels should be low enough to warrant a slight increase)

100 mgs a week is standard, 150mgs a week is ideal, 200mgs a week scripted is very rare. If you want anything more than that legitmatley youd probably have to source with both private clinics and walk-ins/GPs at the same time. Unless you actually need TRT going to UG route is a hell of alot simpler and hassle free.

You need to get your blood tested while on the doctor's prescription and get results that show your testosterone is still low. To do that, you may have to skip a few doses of your scrip.

right now the script I am on HAS to be administered by the doc so no skipping but I am upping the dose on my own which means after my first script runs out and he sends me for a retest I will have crashed by then and it will still be low. The reason I went the legitimate way was so I don't have to hide it. You will need to get blood work and that was $30. OK, so my "sources" didn't come through and I wanted to run a bit more test, so I went to a walk-in clinic in another town (and province) and asked for test cyp because of low libido during contest prep and got another precrip. Cost me $40 and I've tripled my dose. Ask and you shall receive! They told me to get a test patch or come in for injections, but I said I've always injected myself with test cyp and they were cool with that. The pharmacist didn't know what to give me and I had to help him out! LOL! I should have asked for more!!!

I do believe I will be waiting 2 weeks after my last injection and then going in for some blood work and asking to be put on permanently. Zits are coming and more vascular...3 weeks in. We'll see how I feel as I am ketogenic and 7 weeks out right now running 300mgs/week.

PS I inquired at that anti-aging clinic in vancouver and they said they won't see me until I am 40 because it is a "touchy" subject. I replied that my doc is giving it to me right now so I would be fine letting my health care plan pay for it! We'll see what they say.

holy shit 5oomg a week thats not hrt bro thats a cycle your doc must be not up 2 speed on correct hrt dosages good 4 u if he allows that makes for more scripts haha,
