saw this article, wanted to put it out there. I think it's better it comes from Vancouver which is widespread known to the world as a city with some drug "problems" which include steroids.
Enjoy

gives me hope that i might see the day when steroids are seen for what they really are and not evil through injection

I doubt I will ever see steroids use be accepted in my lifetime. And I don't think Vancouver has anymore of a "drug problem" then any other major city. Dont believe everything you hear and read.

I never could understand why people are completely against anabolic steroids and completely fine with things like cortisol shots and pain killers. They always say that an athlete should only be able to use his or her "God given" ability, but if his or her body is to sore to compete they should have to wait until there body repairs itself, not take meds to help. I know I'm preachin to the choir here but it pisses me off.

Because they are haters. They see someone progressing and blame it solely on their steroid use.

I have been to just about every major city in North America and it is everywhere, we just let it happen in the open more. If you think E. Hastings is bad some of the large American cities they don't bother begging they just take your money. Take a wrong turn in NY and it will scare the crap out of you. LA, again begging is for losers much easier just to shoot you. We just hang our dirty laundry out there for all to see while other cities do something about it. Let see how things look next Feb.

"it's not within the spirit of sport. Spirit of sport, that's a lot of hokum."
wtf is hokum?
also... Vancouver's drug problem is far worse than anything I've seen. However, I have not been to every city in North America.
I can't think of an equivalent to Pigeon Park/ East Hastings...
i agree and the gang problem there is getting to be the worst per capita out of the both the united states and canada. I really like that this article was available to the general public. the majority of people were probably very throw or intrigued by this perspective

have you ever been down hasting street,
I use to do deliveries down there. I you ever been to Watts in E. LA or Baltimore, New Orleans. I'm not saying its not bad, Im saying it more visible than other cities. The differences is the law enforcement. Cops see them shotting up and choose to ignore it because they would rather not deal with them. Would you? Also if we had the cold winters out here I think there would be a lot less street people.

good point about the winter, I remember the rumour was that the "the mayor of Edmonton gave all homeless people a 1 way train ticket to Vancouver in the 90's"
