Hey bro's,

I've never taken protein powders while cycling, my diet sucks protein wise, what are the benefits of taking protein powder while on cycle...

I guess my question is can i take protein powder while cycling to make up for shitty diet??? Scared to bloat up on protein powder though???

Any input is appreciated bro's

I think everyone here will tell you to take protein while your off and on cycle. It is extremely hard to get enough protein from food.

Protein is too expensive.....

I spend $200 a week on protein, plus $60 for whey every 3 weeks....

I'm gonna cut my food in half, double my AAS and come out ahead!!

I will make a sincere post Sorry bro no need to feel bad all in good fun. F'K we have guys in dresses on this form so no worries and welcome.

Protein is your building block you need lots of it to build big quality muscle.

Carbs provide fuel to train hard a function (ENERGY)

Its' very hard to get all of your protein just from food. We all have busy lives.

So shakes and supplements help us get all the calories we need to grow.

Food Food and more food should be your primary source.

Post in diet if you have any more questions.

But the most important factor 70% DIET 25% Training & Resting

5% good gear used correctly with the proper knowledge

If you throw in 2-3 40g of protein shakes a day while your on a cycle you will notice a huge difference.

Conman thems jokes chief.......so if you are gonna use gear you need to have everything in check 1st. diet, rest, training etc.....protein should be at least 1 gram per pound of bodyweight....i try to get around 1.5-2 grams per lb cuz I need to put on some serious size in the next year... carbs depends on you and how you respond to them.....I am taking in at least 400gm carbs a day and on some days ill get 600-1000 if i can handle it.....

Ya i would start off with 1 protein shake a day,and up it another scoop every day until the body get used to the Gas(Blue Angles with a lighter)

If you are taking gear I would tell you to try to get 2 grams per pound of bodyweight per day.

If you aren't taking gear I'd probably say the same thing just to be completely safe but the number would likely be closer to 1 gram per pound of bodyweight than 2 for most people in terms of building muscle.

... of course I have no idea what I'm talking about so you might be better off eating brownies and cake while injecting test to build muscle.

How can you not even know how important PROTEIN is to building muscle?? There's no way in hell you should even be touching steroids. You're either still really young, or a beginner. Either way, you need to do a ton more research, do a lot of reading, get more experience building muscle on your own, without the help of steroids.

Then, after a couple years of doing that, when you're at least into your twenties and you've built a good base and have your routine and diet in check, then maybe you can start learning about how to use steroids responsibly.

On the other hand, if you actually are using steroids already and don't even know how important protein is in your diet, all I can say that's about the most retarded thing I've seen in a while.

Food source protein is obviously the best way to go, but if your diet is deficient then protein powder is absolutely essential to make sure you're getting at least 1.5gram/lb while on a cycle. It can do no harm, that's for damn sure.

Guess i could of done a little more research on my part... I'll remember that for next time before i ask for help and advice on this board...

Conman, It's pretty clear why the guys are hassling you. Your question was the equivalent of asking if a gun needs bullets to work properly, on a gun forum. I'm sure they would give you the same sarcastic comments and probably call you out. Guns kill, and guess what, AAS can cause some pretty nasty shit to if you're using them uninformed. A lot of these guys do everything in their power to be safe, to kick the "Sterotype" that steroids kill. Just like gun users would like to kick the same sterotype. Fact remains, If you're not educated properly you're giving everyone who wants to better themselves with anabolics, reason to be upset.

So please, and this is my opinion and my recommendation. Please get yourself better aquainted with The Beginner, Diet/Supplement, and Training forums. When you really feel you've put in some solid time learning about nutrition, and training then come back to the anabolics forum and we'll be ready to help. I'm not here to poke fun at you, we all make mistakes. However, in this case... this is a mistake you should really learn from.

think i was misunderstood in my original post, could of explained a little more, but yeah i try get as much protein as i can food wise, i tried shakes before and got a little on the bulky side, currently 255 and on Equi, sust cycle for 16 wks, trying to harden up...
