I have been out of school since I finished my BA at RMC. That was over 10 years ago.

In Sept. I start Law school at Osgoode Law but I am sort of freaking out.

Anyone go to school after a long lay off? Did the brain work like it used to or were things harder to pick up? Any advice would be welcomed.

My mom did in her late 30's (seriously) and retired about 10-12 years later.... She said it was tough at 1st, but you get back into it quickly... especially if you're a good student. Should also be easier to stay away from the party scene now that you're older and wiser (hopefully)

I'm going through something very similar. I'm in my 30's and been out of school since my teens! I've just started back doing some upgrading to get into Uni and finally get a real job. I'm struggling a little, but for me, I find my attitude about school is different, so the courses are coming (a little) easier than they did way back when. I'm more freaking out about being the old man in class...especially once I get into the university program.

I did 2 times, college, then university....30 for college, 34 for uni....I enjoyed both times and my mind worked well...Much better than when i was younger and mind was on many other things...I had a desire and went for it, it wasnt easy, but easier than when i was young...I was more appreciative of education, and what it can do to enhance ones life...better priorities in life also, it was also when i discovered the gym and being able to have time to truly work out...Many benefits my man...
I was an avid reader and always taking courses etc since my 20s as well, which helped i believe..
Good luck bro, im sure you will do great...
