Does anyone compete in the OPA?

Just wondering if anyone on here competes in the Ontario Powerlifting Association, or powerlifting in general.

I have my first meet on July 18th in Ottawa, and just wanted to know if anyone else will be there?

I have done a few meets with OPA, as well as nationals in '08 when it was in Niagara falls. The Ottawa show is really catching on. Barry is a great organizer and you'll have a great time - definitely a good meet to pick as your first one.

I'll be there... you might not find too many ppl on here that will compete... it's a drug tested fed, and the vast majority of lifters in the OPA are clean... Actually I don't know anyone personally who uses and competes in the fed...

Still gonna be a good time.

Just remember your squat commands, get low as IPF depth is pretty low... feet flat on the bench, be ready to pause on your chest... and just deadlift like usual, make sure your knees are locked and shoulders back.

I did my first 2 meets in the OPA. St.Thomas meets. CPO now :)
