Yah, I was thinking that too, maybe 4800, but with a walkthrough at the mechanic's make sure compression's not off or some shit like that.

Ya that sounds more like it bud. Check the bar ends and pegs for scratches too, see if he's lieing about it being crashed in the past..

"2005.. was that the year they redesigned the whole bike? Err was that 2006? I think it was 2006 right? Hmm, well.. in that case how's 4800"

No need to check compression on a bike with 20k km. Those engines can see 100k km easy. People in Canada get too paranoid over clicks on a bike. Go look down south what kind of miles they have since they can ride all year long...

Like gix said, check the bar ends, foot pegs, engine covers for scratching. Check the brake pads and fork seals for leaking (oil). Ask how often the oil was changed, with that low of KM it should have been changed every season.

5000 tax in so less the govt part

check for snail tracks / dirty whore prints on the leather

lol

good luck

Hate to say it but you're asking the wrong bunch of pp mate, not many pp here know much about bikes.

Now if it has 20 Kms, its worth every penny, but even at 20K he's not too far off with that price.

If this is your first bike, get someone to take a look at it who knows what theyre doing, as you cant tell a thing from pics.

As for compression?! Come on now, even at 40K you wont have to worry about that unless you start seeing probs.

Well reason I mentioned compression was because I had a ZX-7R wicked ****ed compression. Like 180/125/130/155 psi or some shit.

This will be my third bike. First bike was in '03, 750cc as well.

Thanks for the info though guys, will def take to heart and look for the details.

Also, I didn't wanna post on a local riding forum, cause buddy might find out my tactics and use them as leverage against me lol so I figured here was my second best option

Unreal. People selling used bikes for almost $8000. For another grand you can get a BRAND NEW one out the door with a warranty. Makes me want to sell my bike.
