Woverines

Anyone actually encounter a wolverine? I seen some males get up to 70 pounds (about the size of a good sized pit). Could you imagine being attacked by this thing ? Has anyone ever even heard of a wolverine attacking a human? Wolverine (member here) had me thinking: LOok at the beast in his avatar. If that thing attacked you are pretty much screwed. It's like a pit with razor sharps claws.

i was watching some discovery channel thing on cbc the other day and it had a 15 min segment on the Wolverine...they can kill wolves and take down large elk and cariboo....this thing was mowing down on a cariboo's stomach and then proceeded to tear its leg off and carry it off into the woods to burry it

I have seen a few in Chetwynd BC, I was working for an outfitter and we were horseback hunting up above the alpine. About 100meters was the closest and everytime I seen one they were going the other way fast. Seen one when I was in the pickup probably 50ft away but we were going 50kmh so didnt really get a good look. BUT this one time I was bringing some pack horses down a steep trail off this mountain and two other guys were waiting for me at the bottom and watching me, when I got down they were looking at me kinda freeked out and told me there was one right behind the second pack horse for a while and I didnt even see it, the horses did but I thought they were just being a dicks cause we were going home. They look like a HUGE badger crossed with a griz. Amazing animal!

I own a trapline near swanhills and have encountered tracks on occasion.

Only once in my life have I seen one, and it was 300 yards away, and the thing was not sticking around. Very cagey animals.

Pound for pound they are one of the most dangerous animals on the planet, you tube had some good footage of these little bastards destroying other animals, ie. a grizzly bear, a pack of wolves and one vid was a wolverine attacking a polar bear!!! They hunt in a 400 mile home range and are ****ing fearless. Still yet to see one myself. Native Americans regard them as the toughest creature and wear there claws with much pride.
