I need more proof than some author saying this stuff... It makes sense in a way. There is never a definative answer, he will be proved wrong and so on. No one is ever "right" anymore. Ineresting though.

If the body chemistry is right, its saying that you cant sustain the use of protein, but amino levels may stay sustained. It also suggests ways to "resensitize" the system by taking in a large protein meal, then later and free form protein and carb drink. I wonder if there is any merit to it.

"In either case, it appears that consuming larger doses of protein spaced further apart (4-6 hours), while supplementing with a free-form amino acid and carbohydrate supplement between meals, is an effective way to maximize muscle protein synthesis and possibly overcome the refractory response."

Ya ya, now what "MUST HAVE" f'ing supplement are they trying to sell us?

From an evolutionary point of view humans would never have eatan as frequently as we do now. So our bodies are probably set up to eat huge sporadic meals and handle them just fine. Probably also why eating large amounts of meat in one sitting is not detrimental or wasteful. It kind of makes sense that we arn't adapted to properly utilize amino acids when they are delivered constantly and evenly over the course of a day. Although you could argue this a million different ways and sound right every time.

This would completely go against what most people think, (for example the Milos Sarcev videos posted recently).

I really don't know, but what I am sure of is that you should take everything with a grain of salt. Personally I think insulin is the star player in this game.

Did they mention the protein source? I don't feel like reading through that again. This probably only applies to someone drinking protein shakes all day long...

I feel the same way pretty much... i find a large GOOD meal very satisfying at dinner time. I can go for more than 3 or 4 hours after that and just know i dont need to eat yet. I try to listen to my body more now... instead of all the million "regimens" that are out there. The hardest part for me is keeping it clean, cause im a carb lover ;)

He refers to MAYBE taking free-form aminos in between meals. It was all about the body needing to "reset" to keep building muscle, and all this 3 hour stuff doesnt really work. He says it is not the way we are built... and he is on his way to a Phd if that means anything.
