I was wondering...

Your supposed to lubricate your treadmill every 4 months or so... what exactly is the lubricant that's used for this? Why is it so expensive? Is there an alternative lubricant for a treadmill that won't harm it?

Ya, I know, I've left this thread open to a SHIT load of stupid, non related childish comments but eh, the floor is open.

But if someone could let me know, I'd appreciate it and where to pick it up.

I was talking to the owner of my Gym the other day while he was doing this, he said its a wax based lube, you cant use oil based stuff on a treadmill,He had a lardge bulk sized bag with a spout on it. I would just go to the local gym and say hey can I buy a cup Of treadmill lube, I bet they would give it to you.

I need to adjust my tread a bit but have yet to lube it. Of course it doesn't get the kind of continuous use it would in a gym environment.

I lost my mind and bought a landice so I suspect it will be chugging along just fine long after I have left.

You just use soft powder wax. It comes in little baggies and is white powder, looks like cocaine. Its sold at any fitness equipment store for cheap. ppl also use it on their surfboards and snowboards sometimes
