Anyone use it?

I admit, I've been curious... I wonder what it'd be like to rotate using a Bowflex machine every other workout.... just to mix things up a bit.

Well... for 1... you'd be f'n ripped like the guys usin' it in the commercial.... but 2... you'd also be gay like them.... So basically it's a trade off, and only you can decide if it's worth it to you... Hope this helps

My friend has one, and I think it says 250 pounds of resistance, but I can do fly's for sets of 20 on that thing so I think its bs being that I am probably one of the weaker members of this board.

I was taliking to a guy who has an older version he says you can get up to 950# on that thing so I'm talking to him and he says he can do 600 on legs and I'm like you mean 600 pound squats he says yup but we soon figured out he ment leg press either he is not dedicated or just does not know what he is doing because he's had the thing for years and still looks pretty unimpressive.

I'd rather just buy a set of bars and plates. Even the old school ones with concrete inside plastic would be better than a bowflex. At least with the free weights you'd strengthen you stabilizer muscles so you not shakey.

Ugh, in response to the anonymous rep I received:

I was wondering because it offers a different kind of resistance training. I am curious about the effects of it, when used combined with weight training, if any. I was merely looking for first hand experience, not reasons why I'd be gay using it.

Not that I'd ever spend any serious money on it.. someone was giving one away, which needed slight repair. Only reason why I was asking in the first place... like I'd actually BUY one... maybe $100-150.... if it was worth it. Obviously taboo to speak of on here...
