Bio impedance

I know that this is less than reliable way to measure bf, but where I work I have access to a Tanita scale that print your info and why not use it????

Well today it showed 8.6% bf, ti is too low.

My question is: what is the role of hydration??? Does water make the reading to go up or down???

Is that the scale where you grip your hands on the handle and hold it at arms lenght until it reads your BF? If so it`s complete crap. There was a skinny fat guy I worked with who read 8%. Hydration is a major factor in the readings, stress as well.
