Hey boys,

I realize I'm probably going to get shit for this, but I just had a bout of pancreatitis... basically inflamation of the pancreas. IE, I was puking up black and shitting black for a couple of days.

Went to the hospital, and found out I wasn't going to kick the can or anything, so I felt a lot better. I didn't tell them about the gear... I was ready to, if things looked really serious, but just because I want to get life insurance later in life, I was waiting to get more info on what was going on before I spilled the beans.

My blood work came back that a couple liver values were up, Lipase and something else, a good indication of an inflamed pancreas. I was running tren so I figured that could have been it. Even tho after looking all over the net, nobody really knows if tren messes up your liver.

I've been having retarded heartrun for the last 2 months, and now I know that wasn't really heartburn, but I think my pancreas taking a beating.

I'm fairly certain that what's happened is my cholesterol levels probably suck from a terrible diet, and over time it just caught up to me.

I also have a buddy who was telling me his friends pancreas exploded from too much gear, and is now on hrt for life.

So I'm still confused, I've been looking through the net trying to find a link between pancreatitis and steroids... can't find any... and also tren and liver toxicity and couldn't find anything...

my cycle was 1g test, 450 tren, 600 eq... by far my largest cycle to date... I was eating pure crap, I'm a powerlifter and was trying to gain weight and I have a really hard time getting the cals eating clean. My last shot was 2 weeks ago now.

My plan is to keep a very low fat diet, I'm going to stay on 200mgs of test a week to avoid a brutal crash, I'm getting an ultrasound done next week then a follow up with a doc where I'll get probably more extensive bloodwork. I'll probably stay away from tren for a long long time, and if I ever use again, I'll check my blood first, then only use for 4 weeks before a meet... and probably no orals ever...

Anybody have anything to add? was it the gear? my crappy diet? anything good to eat that's low fat?

I have genetic predisposition to bad cholesterol and here is what I do to keep it in check. Wheat bran....add it to everything....flax seed oil.....2 tablespoons a day gives you 10 grams of omega 3 and xtra calories as well......lots of chicken and fish and limit red meat to once a day or every other day....lean cuts only!!!! Hiit cardio or really any cardio will help.......I am powerlifting as well and tryin to get into the 242 weight class (only have 6 lbs to go!!) and I am doing it "healthy"......I just add healthy fats and whole grains to my meals.....and I eat a shitload of chicken, fish and lean beef in moderation......

There is no doubt that this condition was brought about by AAS, what you have is inflamation of the pancreas, what ever you were taking that brought it about must be stopped, but you must figure out what it is. Your case is now an acute case but without curing it ,it may turn into a chronic case in which you will have to deal with for the rest of your life, YOU DO NOT WANT THIS!!!!

Have you been checked for Gull stones???

How is your cholesterol ????

Testosterone in excesive amounts may contribute to increased cholesterol levels in bile, hence the heartburn!!

too much booze will cause this aswell but being a power lifter I imagine your not an alcoholic, right??

Are you using D-bol?? , it too has been implicated in the cause of pancreatitis.

One must try to eat clean when on a cycle, especially one that you are running, diet is key, our bodies are the container for the soul and we must keep them healthy espeacially if we are going to introduce copious amounts of foriegn chemicals into the system, I'm just as guilty as you are brother!!!

oh....and one other thing, your freind that told you his pancreas exploded is full of shit, you can not live without your pancreas, you will die!!

June 2009.. Muscular Development has an articleabout AAS and pancreratitis good read, check it out!!

I hope this helps you.

Something to watch for sure. When I worked up north one huge guy who was in his mid 20's died from a pancreas type situation. He was ridiculously huge for his age and it was obvious...(to me) he was mega dosing. One day he left work from abdominal pain ........4 days later he had passed in a red deer hospital from organ failure. He was a nice kid, it was very sad for everyone at work and his folks I'm sure. Listen to your body and take care of yourself, less is more.
