View Full Version : Dave PALUMBO dIET QUESTION?

Hey ya'll, i did this dDave P die for 8 weeks and had great results. I've given the body a break and have now ate everything possible in the last two weeks. My strenght is back and I feel good and I still look good and put about 6-7 lbs back on,my muscles are looking more "full" now. I'm going to start it up again and try to cut another 15-20 lbs.
My question is .......I have natural flavorless protien powder I like to mix with greens plus. There is no nutritional breakdown on the bottle of greens plus so I don't know for sure if its good to go on this diet? Anyone know or have an idea if this will be ok to add to one scoop to one of my morning shake. It's sweetened with stevia and there is no added sugar?

you definitely will be ok man. No sugar, just herbs and shit, you're good to go.

I disagree. I found the nutritional information on it and it has carbs. If you use it w/your shakes throughout the diet it could be a prob. You are given a green salad meal with the diet...its the vitamins and antioxidants from eliminating fruit from the palumbo diet that should be supplemented w/ using a 0 cal supplement like Juice Plus.

i realize that but just wanted to make sure he was aware so he doesnt go and use the stuff 4-5x/day just to satisfy cravings or something.

When it comes to ketosis everybody is different. The avg is under 40g carbs/day, although some can have right up to 100g and still be in ketosis. It all comes down to knowing your body. You also have to think, Dave's diet calls for nuts as well which also contain carbs. As long as it's not going crazy on them, and keeping the sugar out, you should be ok.
What are everybody's thoughts on cottage cheese? My roomate just bought 2 tubs and it's really making me crave it right now! hahaha
cottage cheese is so gross. i cant believe people eat that stuff. it looks like someone drank a litre of milk and then puked in a pile of bird shit.....

Oh it looks absolutely disgusting! But wow is it ever good! It's even better mixed with sugar free jello and topped with low fat whipped cream. It's like healthy desert!! *drool*

I wish I could eat the stuff myself, never tasted it, but know I`d hurl that up if I did. (I don`t like cheese anyway). Love your analogy of cottage chesse, green worthy it is.

Thanks for the nutritional breakdown bro! OK only 4 grams of carbs and 40 cal I'll be good to go because you are only supossed to take it once a day. It is 6 servings of veggies which is what I am really missing from the diet because I really only find myself eating salad at the dinner meal for veggies. Plus my low carb protien shake has 2 grams of carbs and the natural has 0 or .5 so I will really only be getting an extra 2-3 grams of carbs if I add the greens plus.
