It depends, some people have more karma power than others. I think you need something like 100 points to get a second green box.

I look at my Rep reviews often, to me it shows that some people actually appreciate some of the posts and responses that i've given. Truly in the real world it doesn't mean anything, but it acknowledges what were doing here.

It does take 100 rep points to get an extra green square. The more rep points you have, the more it effects the other person. If your rep points aren't high enough, it just comes as neutral (purple square) and has no effect. You can also go negative and that shows up as a red square.
