Ive tried a lot of pre workout supplements in the past, NO explode, fast twitch, fight factor, black powder, muscle prime and a few others i cant remember or just sampled. I have found that the mri black powder was best but like all pre workouts you build up a tolerance so fast by the end of the jug u dont feel a thing. So im ranking fast twitch by cytosprt as my number 1. I works good, taste is not great and i didnt seem to build a tolerence to it. Anyone care to weigh in?

Ive honestly tried and tested all the pre workout no2 supplements over the last 3-4 years. To be honest, ive found that a shake consisting of 25grams whey isolate, 1scoop (35grams) maxxywaize, 1tbsp of evolive oil and 1tbsp of instant nescafe coffee far surpasses any of these products when it comes to affordability, pumps, energy and focus.

Are you serious? lol. Because it's caffeine, and you also build a tolerance level to it.

Are YOU serious? what do you think is in pre-workout supplements? CAFFEINE!! Which is why you should cycle the dosages and take breaks.

so were saying that there is no preworkouts that carry you on something other than caffein? cause there are quite a few caffein free preworkouts.

I eat a tuna sandwhich before I leave work. By the time I get to the gym I am amped up and ready to go.

I can't afford those fancy No explode and other stuff so I stick with coffee or just psych myself by watching parts of Blood and Guts before hitting the gym:(

Caffeine and ephedrine should do the trick and is cheap as shit. If you limit the ephedrine to pre-workout only it should always work. I`ve been doing this for over 10 years and have never gone over 25mg preworkout and that was during a cutter and it took me many weeks to get to that dose. Now the most I use is 16 mg but use alot of other goodies that have a synergistic effect.

I find ephedrine kills my pump big time. If I use even 8mg before a workout I struggle to get any pump at all. Caffeine kills it also to an extent, but eph is much worse on me.

Ephedrine and caffeine are both vasoconstrictors. I would think ephedrine is a more powerful vasoconstrictor so what you are saying makes perfect sense. It also makes me wonder why people take it pre-workout because blood flow to working muscles is kind of important.

i think all these over the counter things are truly over rated when it comes to "vascularization" itself. Honestly, i believe it just comes down to body temp and covering up and then peeling off clothes..etc. Ive walked into the gym in the winter pumped to the gills w/ no2 products and had very little vascularization. Come summer time ill do a few warm up sets and then take off my sweater and ill be vascular as hell having taken nothing.

if you want killer pumps in the gym down some viagara. If you want energy and focus then take something of that nature.

A pump, while nice, doesn't have any positive on muscular growth. I can get a pump doing 50 rep curls but I know it won't have any positive effect on muscle growth.

Its so true that a good pre workout nutritional shake just cannot be replaced.

Funny you say that. Pump is a myth for muscle growth. Matter of fact, ill do a thread on it lol

I have tried a few, they are expensive and a question their effectiveness. I get the same buzz from ephedrine and a cup of coffee if am tired, usually just coffee with a light breakfast.
