This am depleted after 2 hi carb days out of last 21, last one was 7 days ago....all other days have been 90 grams /day or less....higher fats, high protein....Cardio 6 days/week at 45 minutes or so....calories around 27-2900/day.....strength is good, vascularity is amazing once ive been up and about for a couple hours...these pics are right out of bed onto the deck, after donning gotch...:mad:

a little sketchy and a wee bit irritated today...ive been good mostly...Im doing a planned refeed today, so ill feel great tomorrow...plus we are going out on our harleys househunting....fun, fun...beauty day today....hence the squinting in the sun...

hams and back are very watery...but no fat barely left at all....did some pinch tests last nite, basically a couple more lbs of fat the next couple weeks and a water drop, and i am hoping for the best....im not sure whether to drop gh or run to the show....2-3 ius 5 days/week....any suggestions??
Im taking in 2-3 grams of sodium or more/day right now loading up, also doesnt help with the good ol H2O.......2 gallons of water/day as well now..:help

when a fattie there is no choice....lol , i tried everything, then cut the carbs and stuff started happening..i may try no carb next time...im comfortable and actually feel wayyy better on fats and proteins....:)

Looking great! I too am a carb sensitive guy and feel 100% better with fat and protein. Wish I had figured that out a couple competitions ago.

That's great to hear. It's amazing how different people are. Like right now I'm nuking ~2lbs of potatoes. I need carbs, even once I start dieting.
I think with the protan and all the other little things the difference between now and 2 weeks will be night and day. And the difference between now and a month ago is already very significant.

OK first off DO NOT drop the GH....unless of course you enjoy flattening out. Men will not retain water on 4iu per day or less...and thats Pharm GH. KEEP IT IN!!!
Let me be frank if i may...I am going to tell you where you are and what you can do to help if you choose to. I will be 100% honest because i think you deserve that and it is the only way we learn in this game. You have done a great job so far...but you need to tighten up significantly to be competitive. The LAST thing you need is a refeed day!!!!! You need to drop the carbs and up the cardio. From the pics you appear approx 10-12lbs out of contest shape. Lower back, hams, and glutes need to tighen up significantly. Legs are coming along and houls be fine with the above mentioned loss. You should aim for about 220lbs if you are 233 now. Any last minute water will be rectified by a bit of Dyazide so dont worry about water. Be very careful on loading carbs...two days is plenty and dont overdo it. Keep sodium in until friday...then no additional sodium whatever is in foods naturally is fine. Dont stop water until Firday approx 7-8 pm.
As I said youve done great so far but there is some work ahead of you. I wont say you look fantastic because i dont think you are there yet...on a positive note I think you CAN be there come contest day so that is why I am being honest and trying to help.
I hope you take this as constructive criticism and I wish you the best come contest day.

Well i weighed myself last night, i am down to 222 lbs in the evening...Thats
6 lbs lost since Saturday......I am looking forward to taking pics on saturday....Its the only time i get to see my backside, i hope it looks better, CC says its getting tight....Legs are getting way tighter and in general just looking a bit better...
Carbs are still very, very low...Cardio is 40-50 minutes am upon rising, then another 50 minutes post workout...I dropped fats a tad this week trying to lose more flabberoonie...

I recvd some great advice from Praetorian and i again have to say a special thank-you.....I really like the way he thinks and conveys thoughts....I believe i am going to seek his sevices next yr and ask to help me out...
You folks are great and realllly help on the low days, i wanted to say screw it once or twice, but i get encouraged coming on here and reading, and another special thanks to CC, a real strong lady and big help...
Feeling real crappy today, a combo of lactic acid build up, low carbs, working my butt off at a shutdown at my job etc....I didnt think it would be easy...
All in all a great experience so far, no matter what, i look better than i ever have and that is a great reward in itself, i hope i place to be able to move on....If not ill just go harder and be better next yr...:flagC

Good luck at your show Iron. You can drop the all the fats and run pure protein for 4 days then one day of pro/fats and repeat. On the wednesday before the show add the fats back in and then add carbs and fats in on thursday and friday...remember what i said keep carbs to no more than 50g per meal or you will tend to spill. PM me for any last minute questions.

I have some friends on the board here, not just board friends but real life friends...I have some friends driving in quite a ways to see us compete, hotel rooms etc...They have never seen a BB show before for the most part....I just want them to be happy with the results....A lot of people see me and think im big, etc...blah, blah....but its ez to be a big fish in a small pond if you know what i mean...Now this is the stage and everyone there is the big fish in their small pond...Ive never competed before, so all of this is great, and at the end of the day im having a blast, but now this is the TEST, to see if i take up hairdressing or carry on with bodybuilding...:)

The problem isn't the camera wookie...lol you r using a point and shoot ina low light area, with no flash...thus the shutter speed is too low causing blur...thus outdoor pictures are wicked good!!
Also, the one arm over head ab pose...is ****in $$$ don't do the mandatories...hold that shit all day and keep getting tighter...lol

i have to remember to flex both legs, i keep forgetting my rear one in one arm ab pose....lots of practice this week for posing, no work until next tuesday.....
Im in new territory here again, this whole thing hAs been an adventure and some guessing...Plenty of working hard and taking it one day at a time, seriously thats the biggest thing for me to remember next yr, one day at a time,then have a goal to meet each week , one day at a time...
Mass season time has always been a little more loose in the past, but this yr im going to apply the same philosophy to my gaining phase as i have throughout my diet...Im only going to have 1 cheat day per week, and a couple of cheat meals thrown in here and there...Ill only go to 265-270 slowly through the yr, as opposed to 278 was a little to much for the good of my health...I had bad sleep apnea etc..
again, i dont mean to babble, these are things im going to reread and remind myself of over the course of the year....:help

OK, so after a lot of thought i decided to do the load i had originally planned to do....I talked with a guy that is helping me out and decided to load today, starting aldactone when im about 80 percent full, keeping my sodium levels up and sodium in diet until show, low from condiments last day...keeping water intake 1-2 gallons per day, and about 3/4 or 1/2 gallon friday, water cutoff in evening...My aldactone intake is going to be low.....25-50 mg ed until show...
carbs are going to be fairly high today, and back to lower carbs, medium fat and higher protein for the rest of the week...With a fat-load on friday, and a little bit of carbs on saturday, or maybe fat..??....
I made a few changes after some great tips from Praetorian that made sense...i just didnt do the load he advised as i have not practiced that type of load and really have no idea how it would affect me....so i have to go with what i practiced for the last 4 trials etc...
This will work,
i will find out next yr if the Praetorian way will do me better...
Getting a little nervous and not changing anything last minute...I have a plan and im sticking to it, based on what i see in the mirror after 9 days straight, maybe 10 below 90 grams carbs per day...Im happy...Ill post pics today as i fill up.....tomorrow will be cool, but watery....maybe...lol
this is all fun stuff guys, i love watching and seeing what happens next...

so far.....
#1- 12 egg whites,1.5 cups sugar crisp, 6 kellogg waffles.....
#2- 30 grams isolate, 2 chocolate cookies, 1 lemon tart, 3/4 cup of cracker jacks....
feeling myself fill out....i estimate around 4ish pm to start aldactone....ill be on here quite a bit trying to kill time.....hard part for me, doing nothing....:lick

#3 meal....
6 pieces whole wheat toast
45 grams of oats
3 Tbs of jam
45 grams of isolates...and 10 grams of creatine...
#4 meal.....25 mg aldactone
rice pudding, about 300 grams equal to 75 gram carbs
2 choc cookies
6 oat choc cookies
45 grams isolate...
no more powders now, just protein from food from here on in..
Adding a wee bit of salt with everything, and continuing until thursday nite, then just whats in food and condiments..
Drinking lots of h20, not peeing much...must be taking it in...:)

2 things.......
1- you cant smell ANYTHING through a broken nose....:popc2:moon i know you were waiting for it, i cant dissappoint....now dont be ****in with me for my last 4 days, youve been good up to now...jeebus man...flirt with cc in her journal..
2- i know this looks ludicrous, but its what ive done over the past 4-5 weeks now and got drier 4 days after each time than i was before i ate, its like a vacuum....
if it works .... great, if not, then i look like a dork....so really nothing new here...:lick its a no lose...

I was supposed to be, and ive learned if i dont have something nice to say.....i wont, in regards to some trainers and their value....lol......
Ill just chalk it up to experience and not dwell and moan...:D
Aladdin helped me one day and gave me good tips that ive worked on, very good eye on him and Short dave for this stuff.....It wont be my strong point for sure..
I wish i was closer to jonnyo, id get him to help me out, he also has helped me via pm on a few matters..so many good dudes on here...

well, couple days out pics for my journal...hoping to see some more details by friday nite saturday am...It has been great, and its almost done...i really wish i had 2 more weeks, maybe 3....
Im happy with the results for my first run, now i know what i need to do to be more show ready next time.....I need to start cardio a couple weeks earlier, like 9-10 weeks out instead of 5-6...Had a battle with myself on it, now i know....I was told to not do any by someone i respected, and i cant do it that way..
Ill do the very low carb approach a little sooner next yr, or be less fat and be able to enjoy carbs...ill see on this one..
Start fat burnrs a little earlier, like 6 weeks out instead of 4...they helped a lot i think...
ill write more as i remember to chek next yr when im fighting with myself...especially how i react with the load, diuretic , sodium and watr intakes...

yah i was just gonna say yesterday after your in the gym pics that if you bring your elbows a bit more forward in the front dbl bi your lats will flare better....good work none the less and it looks liek youve discovered numerous tips to help you with your competitions in the future...gluck man

1 more note for next years when i re-read all this.....I definitely looked bigger, fuller and harder the day i finished my carb load, and lost it daily as i went to contest...definitely a couple day carb-load prior to contest as Praetorian had advised me to do, i look way better in pics 98-101.....than i did on contest day, that will be my strategy for next year now...I learned a great lesson...went from almost 230, down to 213 on contest day, lost to much and couldnt fill out...Next year i now know my path, and who i need to ask to help me out.....still happy, but lesson learned, also no aldactone for me ever again......these logs will help immensely next yr, i already have started to forget things i wanted to remember, i think i have most of it written down here, and personal papers at home....
Now to get biggggggg.:)
