Not really interested in loosing hair (who is), don`t know if I`m prone to balding and don`t want to use proscar. Tried it once and absolutely killed my sex drive. Don`t know how effective nizoral shampoo is at preventing hair loss (would like to hear your thoughts on this), but was wondering if it`s o.k. to use it every day? Just being cautious as on the bottle it says one can notice shedding and this is when used twice a week. Any thoughts, advice on nizoral shampoo?

I use it twice a week, not sure if it works or not for hair loss, but it seems to work great on backne.

When I use it too often, I get really itchy scalp and lots of dandruff (ironic eh). I don't know if I'm prone to balding, but if I am, nizoral sure makes it look like like I'm not. E3D for me

The theory behind it is that it is a the active ingredient ketaconazole is a topical antiandrogen. That's why it's affective for bacne and maintaining the hairline as these are androgenic sides. I like to use a pepermint type soap or shampoo to open the pores and then nizoral with a lufa on the body and then some on the hair. Works wonders for my bacne and I my hair is still here.

Add in some Tersaseptic soap for a perfect combo. The two will kill all fungus and bacteria on the body that causes rashes or acne.

How often do you use it to wash your hair? Use on the body is news to me, but will try it because I`m getting pimples on my back and chest I don`t normally have.

Good post. I use nizorol as well (Costco sells packs of two for pretty cheap). I mix some emu oil into the bottle for extra effect.

I usually hit the sauna and get nice and hot and open all the pours on my head / body, then apply the nizorol in the gym shower and let it sit for a good few minutes. Then rinse with cold water to seal in the goodness.

Uh, you're supposed to rinse it out of your hair after shampooing.

Read on other forums of many guys who found it effective for acne or bacne. Just rub it on, leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse it off. May dry out the skin, however. I find direct sunshine the best cure, however.

ah k.. ive got a sensitive nose... even the slightest unpleasant smell bothers me. i tend to smell things most people never do anyway.. maybe i should get a job as a sniffer. i hear those jobs pay well.

I've been using it every single day for about 10 years now & am happy to say my hair line has stayed pretty much the same.

My hair is usually short, so a few drops, let it sit for the 5-10 minutes I do my other business & rinse.
