He have proven Shotokan/Karate is not just for show/kata. I bet lots of guys are disappointed on how things went down, he gained respect and some haters too lol.

Just won 200 bucks, Monday at work would be sweet.

They were both so cautious though, if machida didnt knock him out the everyone woulda been super choked about how things went down.

Machida is so sick though. Karate, who knew that what you learned when you were 12 and hated actually worked

I predicted this one, Machida is gonna be touch to beat.....

I'd love to see Machida vs Silva, that'd be a great fight.

2 stand up guys like that, why would it not be entertaining?

Cause they both are very elusive fighters...both fighters throw a ton of faints and are extremely hard to hit...i would still love to see it though.

I honestly didn't see anything great about that fight other than Machida getting some good shots in..nothing really impressive with the fight...I thought Rashad looked bad and almost scared...Machida would get destroyed against Silva IMO...Machida looks more like a counter fighter waiting for the other fighter to leave a opening...not too much of a get in your face fighter from that fight that I saw...

You got to be kidding me....Machida's performance was awesome...He simply outclassed Evans. Rashad could not do shit against him and Rashad is the guy that KO'd Liddel with one punch and made Forest Griffin look like a bitch...

Machida against Silva?? I'd put my money on Machida...Silva has never faced a guy with Machida's standup skills. And when you say, "Machida looks more like a counter fighter waiting for the other fighter to leave a opening"....Anderson Silva is the same type of fighter...

I have watched it 3 times and I still feel the same.. nothing special about that fight..Machida is a better fighter than Rashad obviously..Hopefully we can get to see Machida and Silva fight in the near future . my money is on Silva

Machida, 30, made US$200,000, including a $70,000 win bonus and $60,000 for knockout of the night. Evans, 29, made $200,000, missing out on a $175,000 win bonus, according to figures provided by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

I would take your money!Weak from dieting to make the 205 compared to Silva eating cake and icecream and hour before the fight!:popc

That's probably what BJ Penn thought too. Machida always fights at 205. I think it would be a good fight but I would lean towards Machida winning. I think he has more skills in a wider range of areas and he is also physically bigger than Silva.

I think Silva fights better at 205 than 185, he walks around at 215 anyways. His strikes are way more devestating, if thats possible! Either way it would be a good fight IMO. ? Hard to call a winner in that one but you can for sure bet they'll be fighting real soon as Dana White anounced a month ago on the Jason Ellis show, Silva will be moving up to 205 weight class.
