A certain "shady" dealer on a certain "shady" board with supposed IFFB pros is insiting that PCT is NOT needed after an Anavar only cycle because it does not shut down test. production. May are agreeing, most disagree. I disagree. I think a light PCT is always needed but I am overly cautious.

What do you guys think? I was under the impression that all Anabolics will signal the glands to shut down production once outside hormones are introduced.

They are speaking 50-80mg a day for 8 weeks. I say yes but a lot of experienced guys are saying it's not needed.

At that dose I would run a light PCT.

at that dosage for that period of time i'd say it probably isnt absolutely needed but i bet it would help and if it was me i would be throwing it in..

anavar can shut you down just not as hard as something like tren for example.. i ran 40mg's for 10 weeks and just ran some nolva afterwards

This is identical to what I said. I would run a light PCT afterwards but some guys I know are pros on the board are dead set in saying it is not necessary. The Nolva couldn't hurt either way.

He's right,

Clinical studies on aids patients showed 40mgs a day over 12 weeks only dropped testosterone serum levels by 45% and LH levels by 25-30%. Levels showed back to normal 1-4 months from cesation with NO PCT. 2-3 weeks of clomid would speed up recovery (and is what I would do) but isn't necessary to achieve homeostasis.

When the dosage increased to 80mg ED i think levels test levels decreased by 60% or something like that. thats not exact but you get the point.

some nolvadex for a couple weeks will do the trick.

I ran Anavar by itself at 40mg daily for 6 weeks and didn't notice any shutdown and my boys were as big as usual. But of course you can't gauge your test levels by feeling alone so I ran a PCT, just some nolva. It's cheap, why not use it?
