I've been on the Keto diet for 3 days now, the diet that is posted as the dave palumbo diet. There are a few things that I'm not clear on. I was thinking of switching the peanut butter to almond butter. I would like to take a fiber supplement with 2 of my shakes this would be 6g of carbs per day. I want to add a vege greens suppliment to one of the shakes aswell but i'm not sure if this would be ok. And one more question. I believe that it mentions that your allowed one cheat meal per week. How many g's of carbs would you be allowed to have in this meal and what types of carbs would be considered acceptable.

Thanks for your time any input would be appreciated.

Fibre doesn't count as the carbs you need to worry about make sure the fibre isn't sweetened or flavored with sugars. You do not absorb fibre.
Flavored Vegge Greens have sugar in them. Otherwise one scoop doesn't have enough carbs to take you out of keto, don't do it for your first meal. And. . let me run upstairs and check my container of almond butter. .
Almond Butter will work as a substitute. . slightly less carbs. . but likely not enough to matter.

almond butter is fine. use sugar free metamucil or fiberlyze from species nutrition for your fiber. the cheat meal can be whatever you want, whatever you are craving, just dont go overboard. doesnt have to be a set number of carbs...something like spaghetti, meatballs and dessert or all you can eat sushi or something like that

right on. I have the unfavloured unsweeted fiber so I'm good to go and now I can even eat some almond butter.

Sushi is nice for the cheat cause you get carbed up but the next morning you don't have a junk food hangover.

Do you go out of keto at all when you carb up?

I just had my first cheat meal yesterday for lunch all you can eat sushi. I had about 30 or 40 rolls or sushi. 2.5 cans of coke and a scoop of ice cream. I thought I have overdone it but this monring is was still deep into ketosis.

I have been on this diet now for 8 days I have only lost 1lb but my waist is down 3 inches and I have seen a big change in the mirrior.

I really enjoy cheat meals on the palumbo diet because it's an opportunity to eat something special.

^^^ Special like the 4th nutella toast I just ate? Ah ha ha ha... I start dieting on Monday, but none of this keto craziness. No offense to those doing it, I know it works great on many...

one thing that he does mention palumbo is to make sure the breakdown of the cheat meal is PFC, don't just eat a large fukkin pizza or 12 donuts, make sure there is a decent amoutn of protein/carbs/fats i like to go to keg and have a huge steak with potatoe gravy some bread, and veggies and deseret at the end.

Rather than nutella what I meant is a really nice spaghetti and meatball dinner or sushi or a baked potatoe and a greek salad with my steak. I also quite like a seven course french dinner with a flight of 5 wines every 3 months or so.

When you get one cheat meal a week wasting it on nutella is a sin.

^^^ I`d taket the cheat meal further and keep eating more and more until the next day reveals me being out of ketosis. One cheat meal a week sure isn`t much. I`d have a cheat day when cutting. Nutella for breakfast with some waffles then take a nap, later on have pizza with ice cream, later some cookies...

I like going to a local greek joint, and eating a huge greek salad, a delicious greazy burger, and some fries of course. The best thing about the "Palumbo-style" diet is the glorious cheat meal. (*fack I'm starving....3 more days to go...lol*)

with jumbo palumbo he advocates one cheat meal per week, which is suppose to be a "cheat meal". How many using keto follow refeeds instead of one cheat meal? I have been following a 14:1 ratio with great success.
