Yes, gland removal is covered by OHIP... but lipo if required is not.

try 40 mg of nolva for a few days with aromasin , I have gyno that flares up but I just use 40 mg of nolva for a few days and it pretty much disappears for a while.

Try Letro?

I've had a little tender spot under my left nip for a while, 4 days into letro @ 1.25mg/day, it's coming right down.

Sex drive is still there, on 600mg/test/wk & 400mg/EQ/wk

nice cycle doses btw... don't mean to hijack.... just starin' a similarily dosed cycle of test/deca...

VAR: sorry can't help on the gyno issue yet, havn't (yet... knock on wood) had issues... sorry for the off-topic-ness of my previous comments... i digress....

Hopefully when I cut down that will take some of the puff nipples away..

I just had surgery a month ago in Ontario to remove my pubertal gyno and the excision (plus hospital stay, anesthesia) was covered by OHIP. I only had to pay for a bit of liposuction.

Sorry guys, I didn't take any before and after pictures. Mine wasn't a serious case, basically just puffy nipples.

They don't remove all of the gland since some is required in order to support your nipple, everyone has a bit of gland or else their nipples would be indented. Unfortunately since some gland has to be left over it can grow back.

The recovery process is fairly quick. The first day hurts a bit and the first week is somewhat uncomfortable. You are given a vest which you have to wear for 3 weeks. Also, for the 1st week you can't remove the vest at all, after that week you can remove it to shower. My surgeon said not to workout for 3 weeks. After a couple of weeks you should be good to go. My nipples are still a little numb and there was some swelling under them but other than that I am thrilled with the results. No more ****ing nipples poking out of my shirts ruining the contour of my chest.

As I said before everything is covered by OHIP if you only need excision. Most guys will need lipo done which will cost about $1500-2000 if you go to the doc I did. You will need to be extremely lean to avoid the lipo, I am at about 12% and I still needed it and am glad I got it since it removed stubborn fat that I had never gotten rid of even when I was around 10%. If you want OHIP to cover the excision, anesthetic, and hospital fees (you will probably stay over night) then you need to make sure that your surgeon conducts the operation in a hospital and not a private clinic. If it is a private clinic OHIP won't cover shit and you will be forking over $4-7000.

The guy who did my gynecomastia surgery does a ton of them every year. He was a really nice guy and I would highly recommend him. My chest isn't perfect since I still have some swelling but you won't see the final results until 3-12 months. Even with the swelling there is a dramatic change and I would be happy the way it looks now. If anyone wants the contact info for my doc PM and I would be happy to send it to you and answer any questions you may have. He is located in Toronto.

Alberta Health covers gyno surgery. The best doc. for gyno surgery is Dr. Haugrud but its some crazy waiting time. I think the intial consultation date is like 6 months from the date you call. And the surgery is like another 6-8 months from the consultation date.

Other doc's in Calgary are George Hamilton and Shraag.

They all cover it under Alberta Health. Apparently, they will also do Lipo to get rid of some excess fat if you have it.

This is good info. Anyone know if it is covered in Nova Scotia? or how I could find that out?

I haven't heard of it being covered in NS. But you could travel to Ontario and get it done there but this would add to your cost. Apparently, there is Dr.Fielding (i think) that does some sweet surgeries in Ontario.
